Assault and Irresponsible staff

Billy Bobs Texas - Assault and Irresponsible staff

On January 15, 2022, we attended the Kid Rock concert at Billy Bobs of Texas. This was my husband's birthday present.

We are long time patrons of this establishment. We had the premium tickets which came to approx. $500. 30 minutes into the concert a man came from our right and a little behind us - yelling and cussing at my husband and then punched him in his mouth.

My husband walked away from the man and we went straight to security and the contracted police man. They first acted as if they were going to help us - asked about pressing charges and could we identify the man. We said yes. Then they refused to help.

We spent 3/4 of the concert having security, Quinn R., refuse to help us. He went so far as to tell my husband he could take the man outside and beat him up - he was ok with that - and then he offered to buy us a free beer. When I said, "this is ridiculous" Quinn told me not to say another word. We were also told that if we went back to the ticketed area that we paid for and there was another fight with this man and my husband - my husband could be considered to have retaliated.

We have not idea why this man started a fight and there was no guarantee that he wouldn't do the same thing again. We ended up hearing the last 2 songs of the night and standing in the back of general admission. This is due to Quinn/Security refusing to do anything about the assault on my husband. The following Monday I called Marty Travis, the general manager, and he was pleasant to talk to, agreed that it was wrong for Quinn to have said to take the fight outside and offer us beer.

He said that my complaint is a compliment to him. I had asked for nothing but to be heard and to correct the wrong that was made. He offered us free tickets to any show we wanted to attend and to attend as his guest. Why would anyone want to go to a place where they do not care about you being assaulted and add insult to injury - just blow you off.

I then asked if he would just refund us for the tickets as we could not go back to watch the concert in the area we paid for - and he said "Kid Rock has that money" and proceeded to tell me that it was our choice not to go back to the area. That the area was a large area and we would have been fine. The point is, we shouldn't have had to have worried about the man doing this again - they should have removed him in the first place but they refused to do anything. Mr.

Travis also told me he would call my husband - or someone from Billy Bob's would - that call never happened.

We would like a refund and for others to know that Billy Bob's security will not support you if you are the victim of an attack inside their building. Why would we go back to a place that we know first hand will not help in any capacity in this type of situation.

User's recommendation: Visit the Stockyards! It is amazing. Skip Billy Bob's - there are other venues that provide the same musicians and respect you as a patron.
