SOLD DEFECTIVE CAR

AI Highlights
  • - Bought a certified low-mile 2021 Sentra.
  • - Window motors failed; repair promised.
  • - Alternator belt and hose failed, costing about $3k, with 70% paid.

Bought a 2021 Nissan Sentra for my wife. Low miles (29,700) certified, or so they said.

I had the car 7 hours, and the motors to all 4 windows stopped working. They called it in good faith they would repair it, but they didn't have to help. 2 months later (total had car 3), wife driving home, car steering wheel shakes and veers to the right because the alternator drive belt and the radiator hose exploded at 35k miles. Got it towed to Nissan (under warranty).

While there, the service manager tells us it's not covered, and it will be roughly $3k for the alternator belt and hose. When we complained and asked to speak to someone else, they magically, out of 'good faith,' paid 70%. Then, go to pick up the car, and I don't get a call to tell me it's not done. They forgot to call, so we rescheduled, called the day of, arranged a time to pick up.

'Oh, we meant to call you; as we were fixing your car, we broke your A/C and a few other things.' In the meantime, they call my wife and offer her an extended warranty for the A/C because you never know when it's gonna break (call came the same day they told me they broke my A/C). Waited another week for them to fix that issue. When we picked it up, it was not fixed; had to wait 3 more days because they didn't communicate properly and tell us anything. After all that, had to pay out of pocket $450 for repairs that should have been looked at and fixed before they sold a certified car.

(Alternator good for 70 to 100k miles) (drive belt good for 50 to 75k) (radiator hose good for 60 to 80k). When did all these break? 3 months and 35,900 miles into my car. All we heard was it was tested over and over again before we sold any car, yet doors, engine, and A/C all broke before 6 months with a car and all under 36k.

Absolutely ridiculous; these people don't communicate, call you back, or treat you right by any means, always try to pass the buck to someone else and never take ownership. The GM got involved and promised he'd call us back.

Still waiting on him; it's been 4 days. Shady business, and this dealership will never deal with them again and tell everyone I see not to as well.

Rip Off Repair Center

  • - After repair, a rattling noise remained.
  • - They claimed a faulty alternator and quoted $1,000.
  • - A test found no issue with the alternator.

Very dissatisfied with their repair center. After my wife had her 2012 Nissan Rouge (27K mi.)repaired at Bill Ray Nissan the vehicle was returned to us with a rattling noise.

So my wife brought it in to have them look at it. They claimed it was now a faulty alternator and gave her an estimate of nearly a thousand bucks to repair. I took the alternator out today and brought it to a reputable parts supplier with an alternator test center. The technician said there was nothing wrong at all with the alternator.

After installing the alternator back in the car runs fine.

But still has the rattle. I will never bring another vehicle there or ever recommend anyone to go there!

AI Highlights
  • - Keys locked in car; I broke a window to save my baby.
  • - 2008 Nissan Altima; told it's impossible to lock keys in; key fob not replaced under warranty.

I had to break my passenger side window today to get my 6 month old daughter out of the car while my key faub was on the front seat. I have a 2008 Nissan Altima and was told when I bought the car that "it was impossible to lock your keys in your car". This has happened one other time about 2 years ago and I reported it to Bill Ray Nissan at that time and was not given an answer as to why it happend. I was told today (at Bill Ray Nissan in Longwood, FL.) that my key faub is defaulted but that they would not replace it because my warranty is up. As you can imagine I am upset beyond words and need to speak with someone as soon as possible to get this resolved.

A grown man who believes he can leave his keys in the car, lock the doors, and still be able to get in. If the salesman had told you that this was a flying car would you have believed him?
