2 broken NEW Whirlpool machines (a french door fridge [hinge so screwed up the freezer side wouldn't open upon initial delivery] and a dishwasher [pissed water between the door and the machine first time it was run.]). Service Tech Greg came out and inspected the dishwasher and assured me a new seal would be ordered. A week later, after not hearing, spoke with their service team and was told part would be in within a week. Called back again a week later, and was transferred to the Service manager who finally told me they'd be replacing my machine. Never a good thing to have to call multiple times and speak with their service team on multiple occasions and get nothing but smoke screen. I had to call today 11/9 and see when my replacement dishwasher would be in, and was told it had already arrived (no phone call). The only thing I will give them a star for is while I have been waiting on the replacement fridge, they did give me a loaner. Will not buy from them again.

We also upgraded your dishwasher and replaced your refrigerator without a fight. Sorry that it feels like we didn't care but we did everything that you asked for.

Also, you told us that we redeemed ourselves and that you would use us again and remove negative comments. I am glad that we were able to get you what you needed and we held up our end of the deal.

Waited for my day to arrive when they cld come out- they screwed up my address with another persons and told me I wasn't on the schedule for another week. I started searching for another place, they called and said they were wrong that they cld come out monday. After the call he sd I needed a new motor for my washer, he'd see when he cld get one in. I waited for a call nvr got one. So I called. They had one in stock the whole time. Then had to wait for when they had 2 guys avail to come out. I asked for morning b/c I have to p/u kids in afternoon. and I also needed to call into work- They scheduled for mon. again, I told them I need a morning- got to leave by 2p. Never was confirmed, I called to ck at 10:30. They sd "he can't promise he will be there". Finally, I just cancelled- far too much work on my end just to get a morning appt.

Screwed up my stove

Bill & Rod's screwed up my stove. They weren't authorized to fix the brand of stove I had and they left it in worse shape then it was to begin with. Next they called to say they couldn't fix it and they were supposed to contact Consumers to tell them to send an authorized repair shop, which they never did; I had to do it. The next service guy has been out twice and they fixed 2 of my burners; but the problem Bill & Rod's created still exists. he has to now come out a 3rd time. Bill & Rod's will waste your time and break your appliances....don't call them! You've now been warned.

Saved a ton of mney

Called Bill and Rods and talked with a man named Kim. Very nice and knowledgeable. explained problem and told me what i needed and HOW to fix the problem. Part cost under $20 and I fixed it my self. I am handicapped and over 60 years on a fixed income. I will go to this company for advise and parts for years to come. I do not know anyone who got bad service because when I went in to the store and was very pleased with the treatment I rec'd. Parts person was not at the counter and A young man named Joe came right over and took care of getting me the part. HRB VIII

Overcharging for parts

Called in for a washer part (agitator dogs, pack of 4) which is a fairly common part. Would have ordered online from Sears for $3.60 with free shipping, but I needed it right away. They said they had it in stock, it was 4.58? and did I want to pick it up? When I said yes.. they talked to someone else then came back on the phone and said sorry the price is really $10 (even). ?? While i was on the phone I checked KenWhirl's web site and they had it for $3.68 in stock. So I eventually went there to pick it up. (I'm in Livonia so it was a little out of my way.., but it's the principle) Seriously? change the price over the phone at more than double the cost? Never going back to Bill & Rods.

Professional Service Review

Bill and rods appliance explained to me about my fridge with such detail , I was so Thankful for the very professional service people that talk bad about this company just need to shut up and realize this is a service and not a bargain barn . Instead of you *** about it then fix it yourself . ( oh I forgot these customer don't know how to do anything except cry about everything. Well those are my thoughts not yours . Thank you bill &rods

Store is open customer service totally gone

This business has moved to a larger location for what purpose? When I entered the new store the people working there were very reluctant to make eye contact or provide any kind of assistance.In my case,I had a question and was answered in a very surly and argumentative way. There were several older employees in the store so I'm pretty sure it was't an intimidation issue just a total lack of customer care. You charge too much for your parts and tend to be a bully about it. I won't be back and the in home techs are as bad or worse. Dale CARNEGIE for all of you!!!

My name is Joe and I am the manager at Bill & Rod's Appliance Inc. Sorry to hear about your experience that you had with our new location.

We were going through a growing period that had many pains in this last year. Our goal is always to have customer service and to be the best out there. Again I apologize for the lack of warmth when you came in the door and for the seeming lack of knowledge the in house tech you encountered had. Dale Carnegie is one of my personal heroes and try to work his principles into all of my relationships.

I would ask you to please try us again and you may even ask for me personally. Again our goal is to make customers for life and we would love to have you back.

NEVER USE THEM

I have never been so disappointment with a company then I have been with yours! I will never do business with your company again and I will make sure to let everyone I know or come into contact with to not us your company! You were a total rip-off and should be ashamed of treating your customers like that. You charge me a $130 to turnover my lint trap!!! Then my husband calls to complain and was told he would get a call back from the owners. Well it has been over 2 months and still no call back. I am telling everyone I see never to do business with you company again! I cannot believe that you treat your customers this way and charge them for the that lack of repair. Not only that when your repair man came to my house he failed to reinstall the dryer hose back to my machine. THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY!

Bill and Rods Royal Rippoff

I called Bill and Rods Appliance Repair in Livonia, they are about 4 miles from my home. I described the problem, they said it was probably the thermal fuse. They came the same day, with the fuse. I found it for sale on the internet for prices between $4-$10. I had the dryer in the middle of the room so they didn't have to move anything or unhook anything. The guy unplugs the fuse, plugs in the new one and turns the dryer on. Says all fixed... here's the bill. $30 parts,$59 service call, $60 labor. $151.75 for 10 min. in the basement. These people do not seem to be integrity driven. But they are driven. If you call them for parts they are totally higher for almost everything. My husband had been off work for 9 months and waiting for his pension to finally kick in and so he called a repair place when he got his first check. What a mistake. Bill and Rods only care about 2 things. Money and how to get more. I don't know how they can say honesty is even involved in their repair ethics. I'd use a clothes line in January rather than be ripped off again by a business like them.

They fixed your dryer the SAMEDAY you called.

Your husband's pension has no significance in Bill & Rod's running their business.

Do you even know what it takes to run a business?

Insurance, employee wages, gas, truck to get to your home, warehouse your part, advertising, taxes, etc...

$150 is a deal.

Next time order the part and install it yourself. Good luck with that.

I have to agree with you on this one, I think they got off cheap. Cost money to lug around a van loaded down with a ton of tools and parts, LOL, some people are just ungrateful!
