AWFUL customer service

I placed an order on Nov. 26 with a new customer discount of 15%. On Nov. 27 I got a promotional email with an offer of 20% and free shipping. I emailed them asking if I could get the better offer since my order hadn't shipped yet. No response till Dec. 1, when I got a very curt email saying they couldn't resolve my issue and the ticket had been "escalated." No further updates by Dec. 5, so I called their support line. I was told I had been credited with the shipping fee but they would have to send "corporate" a message asking where the order was, because there was no tracking number. (I never got any notification that I had been credited this amount.) They said that could take up to 72 hours to get a response from "corporate." I said I was unhappy with the length of time this was all taking and the fact that I was getting no updates. The CS rep started arguing with me, insisting that they were being very responsive since they took off the shipping fee. I disagreed, since no one had contacted me about that. He got more and more argumentative until I finally canceled the order.

Terrible customer service

I paid for the international shipping, they have the option on their website that they will ship to China, then they called me and told me they did not ship to China. What a shame. A business without the basic honesty does not deserve to survive. Go home and find your integrity first.

Big Skinny - Wallet Review from Bellevue, Washington

Quality product, abysmal business services!!! If you want a quality product BUT don't care how long you have to wait or how much *** you have to endure you may consider Big Skinny. HOWEVER, if you expect a minimal level of respect and honestly from the company's you do business with, DO NOT do business with Big Skinny!!! Look at all the reviews they say the same thing "quality product" & "terrible service" The first time I ordered through this company it took forever, I called customer service and found that the item was listed as in-stock but had not shipped, was told it would ship right away. Weeks later it still hadn't arrived. Order finally arrived 6 weeks after order placement. I really enjoyed the product so I decided to give them a second chance. Order another wallet. Wallet listed as in-stock, estimated shipping time 10-14 days. Three weeks later it had not arrived. Called customer service, found out item was on back order. Asked why I was never informed the item was on back order, no response! Was told item would ship in three weeks. Four weeks later still no product called customer service, was told item was still on back order and the anticipated shipping time would be four weeks away. Four weeks later no product, called again, same story, item on back order anticipated shipping three weeks away. Are you seeing a pattern ... It has now been 3 months since my original order and customer service still says it will be three weeks till my order ships. Worse yet there has been no compensation for their horrible business. This company has no regard for their customers!!!

Big Skinny Wallet Fail

Just since posting this, they have decided to send me a new wallet free of charge, hmmm, wonder how that happened.

Purchased the wallet in October 2012. Some high quality business cards stuck to the interior lining of wallet and tore it in getting them off. Called Big Skinny, said to send in pictures. I took pictures emailed them in and got a reply stating they couldn't open the pictures. Re-sized the pictures and resent (total 400kb, again they couldn't receive the pictures. They had me send them to an ebay email account, which customer service said was her contact email account (What????). In all they said I would have to send the defective item in, pay for shipping and then they would ship out a replacement (mind you they say they have a 1 year warranty). Don't buy from them!

They did relent and said that they would send out a replacement. It was a big pain none the less.
