Two hour inappropriate intake interview
I wanted to volunteer within Big Brother Big Sister "BBBS" nonprofit in New York City. I filled out an application and then was scheduled for a two-hour intake.
It was actually a psych/social eval given by a college intern obtaining their degree in social work. Some of the questions appeared inappropriate as to "What religion I am." BBBS' volunteer program reports being nonsectarian. I was also asked "What I think about abortions," and "If I had had one. I realize BBBS volunteers would be working with children, but they do a background check so I don't understand their asking me questions about my present and past sex life.
After I digested the questions presented to me I felt violated. I emailed BBBS and advised they should warn applicants about the specific type of intake they intend to give.
Preferred solution: Hopefully this organization will be more upfront about the selection process
