Big Boy Restaurants

My Family had lunch at the Big Boy Restaurant on M59 & Garfield in Clinton Twp MI on Easter 03/31/24. We had a party of 6 and 3 of us ended up getting sick (food poisoning), My daughter got so sick she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

She spent Monday at the hospital hook up to an IV. She missed 2 days of work over some chicken nuggets !!

I have tried for days to contact someone, anyone at the corporate office ((248) 448-****) and still no E-Mail or call back.

This will be the last time we will ever eat at a Big Boy again.

The hamburger was dry and tasteless. The fries were browned to the point where they tasted like potato sticks.

Very dissatisfied. I will never get a hamburger there again. I got one about five years ago, and did not like it then. I thought I would try it again, I made a mistake trying it again.

Now, never again. The waitress gave us excellent service.

I like to see a big boys come to Omaha because the weather be nice to have in Nebraska and maybe you spend out to Lincoln, Nebraska different parts of Braska all over the place and locations

Went into the big boys in Granville, Michigan.

The wait staff was very unprofessional. We sat there for 5 minutes to wait for a table.

The restaurant was not busy there was 5 needed 6 people in the whole restaurant. They finally seated us another waitress came back another 5 minutes. Got an order, our food was horrible. They were out of everything they forgot my shake and tell She brought the bill.

Most of the white staff was standing in the kitchen laughing and talking. They were just very unprofessional the restaurant was not clean.

They were just basically just very unprofessional. I will never ever go back again ever that restaurant is a dive

My family has been going since the first big boy opened up in Michigan. I am writing this for my brother who goes there weekly and was very upset that the recipe for the onion rings which to me as one of your best products was changed and its not the same.

We realized prices have gone up, but quality is very important. He said to me if any of the other things that he likes changes, he will not be a customer in the future.

I came into the Hartland Big Boy at 10 after eight on a Tuesday night. The salad bar was up and running so I ordered a sandwich and the soup and salad bar.

The restaurant is open till nine but the waitress said the salad bar closed at eight and would not allow me to get it. All I wanted was one plate of salaf and a bowl of soup. All the food was there, and nobody has started tearing it down. What is the reason for this?

I walked out. I usually eat there a couple times a week, but I am done. This business is not exactly thriving and to do that to a customer.

I just dont understand it. Can somebody give me an explanation if I ordered soup and salad from her individually she was going to walk up to it and get it from the salad bar, so what is the difference?

We were waited on but not quickly. Broccoli soup was thick and bottom of the pan.

Server said are you done with soup? We said its not good. She took it without saying Im sorry would you like another. We had fries that were shoestring which was unexpected.

Big Boy always had good hardy fries. They were shriveled and brown. Server was like Oh we have always had those kind. My coffee was dark and old.

I mentioned it and was told she would make fresh. I never got it. We were so disappointed. Server never said Sorry or offered to remove anything from our bill.

My meal alone was over $20 plus tip! Manager was in Lala Land, avoiding customers.

We may never go back! And place was not very clean.

I called ahead, days in advance and asked if I could get the buffet to go. Because, I had to work on Thanksgiving day.

I've never been so disappointed slow service and to add insult to the issue I asked for the container so I can get my food from the buffet I get handed a bill and told they will dish me up a little of everything. For one they didn't ask what I wanted or what I didn't want for two they didn't ask if I was allergic to anything the whole point of getting the buffet is so you can pick and choose what you want.

I was looking forward to having the buffet for Thanksgiving I told everybody I knew that I was going to have Thanksgiving buffet and take it home cuz I called and asked but no I get handed a bill for $20.82 with no input from me telling them what I want from the buffet. I looked at her with the bill in her hand after she told me that they were going to give me a little of this little of that and I said but what about what I don't want or do want I only wanted certain things I just turned around and walked away they just ruined my Thanksgiving ruined it the stores are closed I can't go anywhere else cuz there's nowhere else open thanks that's all I have to say thank you for ruining Thanksgiving my holiday is ruined

Wow talk about bad corporate decisions, Big Boy Corporation promoted a Free Voucher for Veterans on Veterans Day. It was advertised on the American Legion National Website, then each American Legion sent out the notification to its members.

However, upon entering the Livonia Big Boy stated they knew nothing of the advertisement and stated they would offer only 20% off. They stated they are a Corporate Store and Corporate didnt inform them so they wouldnt acknowledge the promotion! Great example of bait and switch ( bring the customers in and then change the promotion!)

Nice way of Thanking the brave Veterans that served our country!

Big Boy you let the Veterans Down, Shame on you!

My husband served during Vietnam and my son is serving now.

Big Boy is the only corporation on the American Legion Promotional Page that didnt fulfill its promises! Shame , shame, shame!

The Big Boy in East Tawas does not have a Salad bar during the week. Its the only that I know of in Michigan that doesnt have one 7 days a week now.

He should cut down his prices on those days also like he does on his overhead. I wont be going back there and I will be sure to let my family and friends know about his desire for profitability.

I have been to Big Boy restaurant multiple times. The service wasn't the greatest, but, the last three times, the service was so bad that I, (a local) will not be going back and will advise others.

The cooks do not know how to prepare food so that it all comes out together. On three seperate occasions our food (mulitple people) has not been delivered together, therefore we were not able to eat together. By the time my food was brought out, the other people in my party were done eating. The servers are also lacking.

One server came to my table three times and neglected to take away dirty dishes. There are only a couple of Servers who actually know what they are doing. I believe that you need to have your people trained and it would possibly increase your business. I used to be a server, so I do know what it's like to work in the restaurant business.

I ;worked at a very very busy restaurant. I am usually a very patient person, but I am done with Big Boys in Indian Springs.

I was there 45minutes .And never got waited on or acknowledged.l come in everyday. I should have been acknowledged.

So I read the paper and left. Please do something because this is not the first time that it has happened

I ate at the Big Boy restaurant in Ocala with my social club--they had a breakfast buffet. Our server was rude to me.

I asked her if I could get a refill on OJ and in a mean tone of voice, she said "No." I was informed that they don't give free refills on OJ.

It would have been friendly of her to say "I'm sorry, we don't give free refills on orange juice." I would scarcely go back again after the unfriendly way our server treated me.

Bias on me being an overwieght person, i was served a diet drink..im highly allergic to artificial sweeteners..put me in e.r. with seizure symptoms.. multiple attempts to remedy poor service with corperate have failed...no return correspondence...would advise no one whom is overweight eat there ..regional manager ill equipped in his position
