Verified Reviewer |Defect Tires and impossible customer service warranty
- - KO2 LT275/65R18 tires have a factory defect; one tire failed.
- - Dealer says the issue is real; prorate/credit process is slow.
Side walls to BF Goodrich KO2 tires LT275/65 R18 123/120R. These tires were defective from the manufacturer and while only one tire is excessively bad, I worry the safety of the others will fail on the highway causing an accident.
One tire did fail and despite that, BF Goodrich will not help with standing behind the quality of their product despite the Toyota certified dealer telling them it is bad and their defect. Tires are 9/32 inner and 8/32 outer and have less than 40,000 miles on them. They are rotated by the Toyota dealer every 5,000 miles. The company makes it so difficult for the average consumer to gather information, gain access to the site, and then when that is all done, you have to send the tires in for them to review, and they will make a decision on what to prorate to and only then give you a credit to new tires made by their manufacturer.
This process potentially could take weeks or months, and how can someone not use a vehicle for that length of time? I used to promote the *** out of these tires to friends and family and felt they were great in all weather conditions. How good of a product are you willing to purchase if they themselves make it impossible for you to feel comfortable and confident in that product? Here is the kicker on top of this process.
There is only one tire found of this size in California and I am in South Carolina. It will take 6 days to get and then how confident am I to replace and then find that the other 3 tires could potentially be bad? They have discontinued these KO2 and have gone to KO3.
While they may be a great replacement, I personally will never buy these unless something changes in their process to stand behind their product and make it easy for the average consumer to file a claim and they honor it. I will blow every forum, website, and additional forms of communication to share this story with tire seekers.
- Good tire under normal conditions
- Poor warranty and customer solutions
Preferred solution: An easier process to a claim. BFGoodrich honoring the Dealer's word. A solution or partial refund towards what was paid for the tires and not having to buy their product , or a quicker turnaround to a solutuion
User's recommendation: do not buy Michelin / BFgood rich or uniroyal tires . All three made by this company

- - Warranty claim denied for damaged BFGoodrich tire by TyrePlus Al Juffali Michelin; report not provided; requesting urgent review and replacement.
Im facing an issue with your local dealer, TyrePlus Al Juffali Michelin, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Exit 14, Khurais Road). They refused my warranty claim for a damaged BFGoodrich tire, claiming misuse, but theyve been unresponsive and refused to provide a report.
This harms BFGoodrichs reputation, as many customers, including me, have expressed dissatisfaction on Google Maps, with numerous reviews highlighting poor service, delays, and unfair warranty denials at this location .
Please investigate this urgently, escalate it to your regional management, and ensure my claim is reviewed fairly. I need a replacement or compensation, Let me know if you need more details.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Resolved: Subaru dealership did not honor tire warranty
- - Bought 4 Goodrich tires at a Subaru dealer.
- - Nail in sidewall caused slow leak; replacement needed.
- - Backorder; Sam's Club replacement with no prorate.
Subaru customer service told me that since a nail, puncture wound caused the damage, the tire is not under warranty by BF Goodrich regardless of the tire’s mileage. Telling me that it was out of the 2 year warranty period caused my misunderstanding of the situation because the tire comes with a 60,000 mile warranty..
They told me the warranty was for only 2 years and that I was out of luck. These tires have a 60,000 mile warranty and my tire only had 18,881 miles .
Subaru told me they could not replace it because it was on back order they had no idea when it would come in.
I bought a new advantage sport tire today at Sams club and they did not prorate the tire either. What do I do?
Thanks!
User's recommendation: Tires are good, subaru dealership needs to honor warranty!

Verified ReviewerBFGoodrich’s warranty is a joke
- - BFGoodrich won’t honor warranty on OEM tires.
- - The vehicle has OEM BFGoodrich tires.
- - Avoid BFGoodrich tires and consider another brand.
If your vehicle came with oem BFGoodrich tires you are 100% out of luck if you need to exercise any warranty action. BFGoodrich will not honor any warranty if the tires were oem on your vehicle.
I have a 2020 Toyota 4Runner with oem BFGoodrich tires.
BFGoodrich wouldn't even discuss my issue and declined any warranty telling me they have no warranty. Vote with your hard earned money and never buy BFGoodrich tires and if your vehicle has BFGoodrich tires oem demand a replacement from another manufacture before purchasing.
User's recommendation: Steer clear of BFGoodrich tires

That is not how a tire manufacturer warranty works. The tire manufacturer i.e.
BF Goodrich warranties their tires for the 60000 miles against MANUFACTURER DEFECTS.
A puncture, consumer drives underinflated, or consumer drives tires overinflated can not be BF Goodrich fault. This is why you buy Road Hazard Warranties when you buy your tires.
