DBHDS/DMAS Violation Investigation

Original review Mar 16, 2022
This company operated saying they would pay their employees. However, paystubs and W-2s were not issued, staff did not conduct monthly supervision for their QMHPs and payroll did not pay their employees on time or at all. This is a very unethical business with 6 family members working closely together profiting off MHSS revenue. There is documentation provided by past and current employees to prove paychecks were withheld and behind multiple pay periods. Staff asked for their original signed and dated job description with agreed payment and was denied BDTCs record keeping, which is also a DBHDS violation. CEO stated an unregulated way to document time 6 months after hire and used that to get out of paying his employees. In addition, this agency did not operate or open a staff account on Sharenote or a HIPPAA compliant email address until weeks after hire. This agency is being sued and multiple former staff will testify in court against this agency profiting on vulnerable populations that also did this a few years ago and was shut down under, A Better Tomorrow. In addition, BDTC is under investigation by DBHDS.
