I HAVE CUT AND PASTED FROM SOMEONE ELSE'S REVIEW BECAUSE MY EXPERIENCE IS ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME!! Very poor quality and the worst customer service. 12 months on and still do not have the end product I paid for. My first experience with Betta was for a large built in wardrobe it was expensive but I wanted a good job done. I was satisfied with the end result(even though he cut with an electric saw all the cupboards inside my bedroom. The instruction was to use the balcony outside. It took 8 hours to clean my bedroom the dust and debris was everywhere including in my bed, light fitting and fine particles all over my TV. So I decided to use them again 12 months later wanting identical wardrobes in another bedroom. The quote was again expensive and i paid the deposit. The installer came in pulled apart the existing built in wardrobe only to realise the pre-cut materials he had did not fit. He went away, I had to constantly call and chase them and eventually weeks later had them return to come back measure up again and install. This time the installed job was done very poorly and additional pieces I paid for were missing - mirror, shoe shelves etc .I was told to accept the wardrobe as is and followup with the office. He left. The head office first response was that I had to pay the balance the job had been done. They had my deposit I had an unfinished poor quality built wardrobe. I couldn't believe it. They wouldn't enter into any discussion. They said they were going to sue me in the small claims court and sent me paperwork. I continued to try and discuss this with them but all I got was "You owe us" If we had gone to court they would have lost because at no point had they engaged with me. Just a brick wall. Eventually - because I continued to negotiate in good faith - they said if I paid in full they would complete the job, although their own T&Cs say customer pays on completion. I was dealing with an accountant who seemed to think he was some high rolling lawyer. The whole experience was awful. In the end 12 months later a guy came back (only after I continued to followup) he brought the missing pieces and said he would have to speak to head office again about the poor workmanship and how it could be fixed. That was 1 x month ago. I am still waiting. I wish I would have looked at this site and other reviews before going to Betta Wardrobe. I will never use Betta again. Worst "customer service" ever. And with hindsight I could have used a local carpenter. Please learn from my bad experience and read the other reviews on here and elsewhere.

Pls shut down all their business!! They are scammers!!! Warning dont use pls listen to all our reviews!!! Im going to court to fight my case because they have harassed me physically on site demanding for full payment when they tried to leave without finishing their work!!! Scammers Warning dont use! Rude, unhelpful salesman.

Salesman came to measure for a new shower screen and mirrored doors for two large wardrobes - not a small order. He said they were unable to help with the shower screen, as it is on an angle, and when discussing why they can't do custom-made shower screens, he simply turned around, walked up the hallway and said he was off. Didn't even try to measure up for the wardrobes. Hopefully we can now find another more accommodating company with a more polite/personable salesman. This is unfortunate as the showroom in Taren Point is impressive and the reception lady very pleasant.

Terrible service

The rep they sent out was terrible, wanted to get in and out with stock standard setup, when we want something well designed. Eventually asked them to leave when it was clear they would not help us get what we needed. When we tried to explain to the Taren Point head office and get a different rep, the manager wasn't interested in our side of the story at all, just kept defending the rep.

Betta wardrobes - no customer service

We had our wardrobes installed and there was an issue with the fit in two of the cupboards. They had to modify it and it wasn't perfect but we were OK about it. However, on another wardrobe, the design was not right which we didn't pick up until after the wardrobes were installed (they should have known better being in the business). We tried to contact Betta to have it resolved, we were even wililng to pay for it, but they blew us off - in a very unprofessional manner. Two and a half weeks of chasing them to be treated quite rudely and management refusing to even talk to us. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED and would NEVER recommend Betta to anyone. They have no concept of customer service.

Refused to honour warranty after one year, when wardrobe refused to close. Totally hopeless and unprofessional. So much for the 15 year warranty. If I can help one person to not be ripped off, then I will - happily. Their conduct has been disgraceful and this is after an order amassing nearly $7000! You'd really think that they would WANT to help their customer but nope, it's all about creating cheap, shoddy products and then leaving the customer to wallow in the consequences. As I said previously - never use these people .Ever. Their warranty is NOT valid, and not as described.

From what they quoted to what was installed was different. Instead of having 4 x 220mm and 2 x 160mm drawers installed they decided to prefabricate 3 x 220mm drawers and 1 x 250mm drawer! They said it should have been explained by the rep at the time that it cannot be constructed as what we requested but was not. Now I have a ridiculous combination of 3 x 220mm drawers then a 250mm drawer stuck in between the 220mm and the 160mm drawers which now sticks out like a turd in a fruit bowl. The installation guys were great and couldn't fault them in any way. [name removed] even helped me take a huge wardrobe to my garage which was much appreciated!

Our credit card was charged more than the price agreed by $259

We were given a quote. We were told he had made a mistake in his calculations. We agreed with him we would pay the amount we were contracted to pay. We have found that that the amount that was debited on our credit card was more than we agreed. No communication was provided to us that they would charge us a different amount than was agreed We recommend that no one uses them because these people are fundamentally dishonest. Be especially careful of Bobby.

Terrible experience with the person who came out to measure. He was incredibly rude and left both my builder and I in shick as he stored out saying we were wasting his time. I wanted a hanging rail where he said I should have a shelf. No reason to have a shelf other than he said it is what the wardrobe comes with. I was under the impression their wardrobes are custom but clearly not very. I went in to the shop in Waverley and was again shouted at by the same man who came to measure and told he would not do our job. He stated he gets over a million in business a month and doesn't care as he's just a contractor. Here lies the problem. All Betta people who measure and install are contractors. They have no regard whatsoever for the company and just want commission. I feel lucky to have escaped with just the verbal abuse and nothing that has cost me more than time.

WARNING, USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR PERIL

Stressful does not even start to describe this process and trying to deal with this company. However, let me start with the good as it will be quick - the installer that came (had to come twice) was terrific. Other than that, this was the worst part of this renovation by far. It was a long process and I will acknowledge that some of that was due to me having to be away for a couple of months and not making a decision. Still - once decision made, first had to request to have the whole project moved to a new designer as I found the first to be very rude the minute there was a problem. The second was nice, helpful, but the minute there was a problem, blamed the first. The drawings were done for 2 wardrobes and a cabinet. Installation day came and there were problems with 3 out of 3 of them - in particular the custom made and spec'd cabinet. The drawers were not deep enough and the upper section had no doors - though clearly these were on the plans!! The wardrobe panels didn't line up with the doors or the concrete pillars of my place even though these too were drawn on the plans. There is clearly no communication between the designer, the factory, admin and their installers. I had to take another day off for rectification and had asked for the designer (the only person I seem to be able to talk to) for a discount - he didn't get back to me after I asked him to reconsider a paltry $100 off an $8000 job. The rectification was done and then I wanted to hold some payment until we could negotiate the discount. Like another below...they were going to "take the drawers out" shocking shocking service. There was no movement and the worst customer service I have yet to experience and hope I never have to again. I would certainly NOT recommend them to anyone and will be prepared to tell anyone I see walking into any of their showrooms. NEVER will I use this company again and I live in hope that I don't face a problem with the units in the future
