They are in it for money, not to help children or prospective adopted parents.

I kept excellent records of what I paid to Bethany Christian and what I had to pay according to the contract we signed. If you question the amount, you are then threatened to be reported to your credit agencies.

We were blackmailed into paying an incorrect amount because their invoice was incorrect and they refused to modify it but did threaten us with destroying our credit if we didn't pay the incorrect amount.

This is after we have already paid almost $14,000 to Bethany Christian plus another $20,000+ for other items they required for the adoption to go through, in the end we received no child due to negligence on their part. They do not in any way shape or form, help you get a child, all they do is help themselves to your money and do not care of the end result, they also offer zero support; although, their website clearly talks about the support they offer.

User's recommendation: Work with egg banks and/or sperm banks and hire your own surrogate mother to carry your baby. It will cost you less money and without the fear having to give back or the long wait times.

If you are looking for a good adoption for your baby do not use them. They claim to be Christian and they are not. They will not let you know about things you can do before giving up your baby. I wish

Shouldn't call themselves "Christian"

Thieves and swindlers!!! Those are the best words to describe them. Little to no communication unless we contacted them; then it took days for them to respond. Very incompetent regarding paperwork. Had many things wrong with our preferences multiple times. Waited over 3 years for nothing! Sent multiple birthmoms directly to them, which they attempted to "counsel" a different direction. When questioned regarding this, we were told they are advocates for birthmoms, not the adoptive parents, so be aware of this before you give them your money...they will not advocate for/ promote you. We adopted privately, which they said was okay to pursue, and they proceeded to cancel our account because "we got a baby." Not through them, mind you, but they kept all of our money anyway. BEWARE and seek a different path is our advice!

Bethany Christian Services - Review in Professional Services category from Vancouver, Washington

Bethany Christian services is no different than any agency, they coerce pregnant mothers seeking "counseling" into giving their child up for adoption when they don't know the facts...they don't ask the mother what she needs to keep her child they just start talking adoption lingo and say that "a needy couple will love to have your baby" when really babies need their real moms not strangers to take them whom they've never bonded in uterus with. #stop trying to separate families No adopted child ever wakes up and says id rather be adopted than live with biological family (unless there is drugs or abuse) Quit preying on vulnerable women who just gave birth hours before...women need at least 6 weeks to get over post baby blues before signing...

BCS steals children to sell to adoptive parents

This company has kidnapped my daughter for 2 1/2 years and still expects me to play their game in court. I did nothing but ask for help with my daughter in Benzie County, MI for a month while I got a job and prepared to care for her full time. My daughter had been in the care of her mother until this time. Now I'm the bad guy. I know nothing of the adoption side and only how they get kids to sell.

This company needs to be investigated for fraud and If there is any attorneys presently persueing a class action lawsuit against this company feel free to contact me as a witness to how they lie in court and make it impossible to get children back. I got a case number you can look through also.

It needs to be verified how much money they actually get for terminating on the rights per child. Others have said they get 250K stipend from the state.

Because Bethany knows how to hide this info using HIPPA laws and exempt from FOIA. Your legislator should be able to get information on how much money does the state pay to Bethany. Then forensic accounting skills will be needed to verify. If its true - then our legislature needs to hit the reset button on Bethany and crack this case open to the mass media.

So if they terminate on a sib group of 4. Thats 1 million dollars bonus to Bethany.

They are Christian in name only. Nasty corporation.

The state shouldn't be paying them 1 red cent! It's a violation of separation of church and state. Let them support themselves, or let their parent church support them.

Bethany Christian Services Adoption Agency

Bethany Christian Services is a scam. They are in it solely for the money. They do not care about the needs of the parents or children. Don't let the Christian in the name fool you. They can't be trusted. The communication is terrible. We were told not to call our social worker. We were only allowed to email her and we would go weeks without getting a response. If we tried to call her, we would get called into a meeting with her boss and get yelled at like children. They are very unsupportive and should not be in this business. If you are thinking of adopting, do not use Bethany Christian Services, particularly the office in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
