Lied about product availability

I spoke with customer service before ordering a Supertop for Truck 2 for my F150. I noticed that a tonneau cover was available for other truck models that are interchangeable with the full-sized Supertop for Truck 2, but it was not yet available for mine.

I was told that one would be available, and that I would be notified when the tonneau cover was available. So, I proceeded and ordered the full topper, expecting the tonneau cover to become available. I had to wait for the full topper, after paying for it, because they neglected to inform me it was on backorder. I finally received the full topper after more than a month.

Now, it's been eight months, and the tonneau cover is still not available. I've contacted them several times, and I always receive a generic response. They refuse to refund my money and take the topper back because it's outside their return window. Talk about bait and switch!

I never would have ordered from them if I knew they wouldn't stand by their word. If I wanted a full-sized topper 100% of the time, I would have bought a fiberglass one. I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Their response was, once again, very generic, offering me 15% off on my next purchase for a Jeep I do not own. Unless you own a Jeep, do not buy from Bestop, because it seems they don't care about non-Jeep customers.

Non filled order, lied to by customer support, charged my card did not ship

Good product if you can get it shipped. Customer support lied about it shipping.

Rhey said they would not charge my card till it shipped but carded it last month and I am still waiting for them to ship my top. Customer service is impossible to reach and if do manage to they are not dependable with what they tell you!

Terrible Customer Service

Id like to start by saying, generally speaking, the quality of the product I purchased from bestop was pretty good. That said, I probably would never purchase another one because in five or seven years all efforts to contact customer service have failed.

Ive never received a return phone call or a return email. And currently the wait times for customer service at best top are 38 minutes. *** them.

I really could use a new replacement rear window for the top I purchased for my F150. Dont need a new bar, dont need anything else, just need a *** rear window

I ended up having to call my credit card company to get my money back. after I explained what was going on to the credit card company Bestop refunded my money the next day.

Just like magic. I don't understand why Bestop would think they could just refund my money when ever they felt like. there is no one to talk to for the refund the only number is to the answering service that relays the information to whoever is in charge of refunds.

Then they review the problem, and determines if I get a refund when they have a 30 day return policy, and this whole time I'm just supposed to wait for a email for further instructions. And if you do call wait on hold they offer to call back in the order the call was received but they don't .

ordered some power running boards for my jeep. they sent me the wrong ones 4 times.

and no help on why they don't fit or to tell them why they don't fit. you can only send a picture to the people you talk to on the phone that are only a answering service for bestop and know nothing about bestop products except for what they look up on line while you're telling them the problem. 3months later I'm still waiting for my 1400 dollar refund that was supposed to go back on my credit card last week. If your going to buy bestop products buy from a retailer like 4 wheel parts or extreme terrain some place you can take it back to or at least show them that it doesn't fit after they assure you it will .

because if you buy from bestop your package probably will be scratched or damaged because they just send it in the original box that is weak and you will be on your own with their lame instructions or internet videos that dont show you what you want to see. The problem i had was to long and motor hit the frame because it sticks straight up when it needs to come out the side

Preferred solution: I want someone to explain why these running boards won't fit my 2017 jeep jk 2 door someone that knows what they are talking about. because I want the boards but wouldn't trust bestop for the correct time of day after the traumatic disappointment

Sunrider top began to leak above drivers door. Marc at Bestop asked for some information and photos.

I was hoping to get a replacement or upgraded weatherstrip sent to me. To my surprise,t hey actually replaced the entire top!

In light of very responsive customer service I can sincerely recommend Bestop for quality parts and customer service.

Sunrider Top Leak

Hi BestTop,

About a year ago, I purchased a Sunrider top for my 2019 JLU. Its a great top and I drive with it open often.

I have ridden in heavy rain without any leaks. However I park backed into my driveway which has a slight incline towards the street. When it rains heavily, I get a lot of leaking and water inside the Jeep.

As an experiment I turned the Jeep around so that the front is slightly higher than the rear. It stopped leaking immediately!

I suspect that in R&D Testing that you tested it against level downpour and forward motion against rain.

What Im seeing is that when the Jeep is not moving and the front is slightly lower than the back, that water runs forward on the hard top and leaks at the back of the Sunrider top.

Is this a known issue? Is there a recommended fix fir this? Im thinking about removing the top and adding a weather strip along the rear.

Before attempting this I am hoping for some guidance from BestTop technical support. Im sure that Im not the first person with this problem.

A small piece of weatherstripping was missing. Bestop replace it with an entire new top. I am very satisfied with their customer service.

I have a best top windjammer and it is garage kept and all 4 straps broke in the top bar strap. How is this possible ? Only 2 and half years old.

Since you delay block and severely scrutinize everything I try to post then pay attention to this!

Give me a break! This review is 6.5 years old, not one person ever commented on it until today 2/28/2015.

The complaint is about a roof rack for Jeep Wranglers and the picture is of a Suzuki vehicle that has no roof rack. This is Pissed consumer at its best.

The person that posted this has 19 reviews in total from 6.5 years ago that were never marked as resolved almost all are without comments.
