We paid $500 for one night at the Best Western Plus Yacht Harbor Inn in Dunedin, FL on 3/18/2023. This is an older hotel that you can tell is not kept up.

The walls are paper thin. They apparently allow customers to "tailgate" out in the parking lot throughout the night and don't do anything in regards to the noise. But the most important part of this is we came to find the room was infested with mold. Mold could be found on the ceiling, door frames and bathroom.

You can tell that they tried to paint over it, but to no avail. We ran from the hotel early the following morning and upon checkout we informed the person at the front desk about the noise and mold issues. They acknowledged the noise problem from the night before and confirmed that they didn't do anything about it. When confronted about the mold issue, their response was that housekeeping was supposed to wipe it away.

So, they confirmed that they knew about the mold problem but don't do anything about it but try to hide it.

We called customer service at their corporate office and they said they would check in to it. After 2 weeks they came back and said there was nothing they could do since the local hotel refused a refund as we requested. The local office claimed they refunded $65 for the "inconvenience", but the amount refunded was taxes they overcharged us.

All in all, this was probably the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at. $500 for a noisy room with absolutely no soundproofing, management that doesn't care about their customer's stay and most importantly, unhealthy MOLD in the rooms.

As stated, we requested a refund for this stay and were denied.

I have uploaded photos of this room and tried to upload a video, but the video size was too large.

A report was issued with the county health department regarding the hotel since they did not want to take any action. We'll see what happens there.
