Supposedly Expedia will be refunding my one night stay but I haven’t seen it yet. It has to come from Expedia since the reservation was made through Expedia.
(This is my common practice when I want no one to enter my room during my stay, whether I am there or not. I dont like anyone in the room while I am not there).
I had a meeting to go to yesterday (18 May 2024), so I left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door yesterday morning when I left at 5:30 a.m. When I returned to the room yesterday afternoon, I noticed the Do Not Disturb sign was not on the door. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed the housekeeping personnel had entered the room and cleaned it, but left the bathroom light on and left the ironing board up from when I used it the evening before.
I immediately went up to the lobby and requested to see the manager. The front desk clerk called the manager and voiced my concern. His reply was that he would talk to the housekeeping person. I said that was not good enough, I wanted to speak to him personally.
That request was given to him. An hour later, I called the front desk and asked where the manager was. Was told that he would speak to me this morning. Again, I said not good enough, I requested (demanded) to speak to him last night.
Again, that request was given to him. He again said he would speak to me this morning. I went back up to the lobby and informed the front desk clerk that insisted on speaking to the manager, I wanted 1 night room cost taken off the bill, I would be placing a negative comment on Trip Advisor, and I would bury them. She informed me the manager would speak to me this morning.
I then got on the internet and found another hotel with a vacancy for last night, made a reservation, packed up my things, and checked out of the Best Western Clermont hotel. At that time, I informed the front desk clerk that my privacy had been violated and I would not stay anywhere I did not feel safe. Management did nothing last night to assure me that the problem would be resolved.
When someone puts a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, it means exactly that, do not disturb and do not enter the room without their permission. To add to that, when the maid came into the room, they left the Do Not Disturb sign on the little table that was beside the tv cabinet.

I was verbally assaulted by the manager of the Best Western InnSuites in Phoenix. I was traumatized.
I travel a great deal. This is the first time I have ever experienced this type of treatment.

Date was Jan, 1 2021 Ehrenberg AZ Best Western.
I looked online to see if there were rooms available saw that there were available. Wife went in to book a room and mentioned that we had a service animal.
She was denied, I went in the handler and calmly explained that I had a service animal. The conversation lasted about under 3 minutes and I left. Sent several messages and no response yet.
In the video I took, I calmly explained that it didn't matter if they were out of pet rooms. Young lady didn't understand and called manager, manager denied us entry.

you're hotel security deposit refunds are actually diss concerning with the amount of time it takes for the refund to go back to the customers card .it amazes me that when hotels like best western place a hold for a security deposit for a room .that it takes any where from 5-7days for those funds to be lifted and refunded other institutions like home depot ,Walmart and many others institutions have gotten better about returning funds to you're used card for a purchase to refund or return you're funds in a matter of a few hrs .and yet a hotel only places a hold on you're card and yet hotel company's can take 3to 30days to refund a security deposit that is placed on hold to be returned to the customers account is rediculaous& unnecessary responses .its amazing hotels withdraw the funds immediately from you're account but can not refund funds holds that are not even full purchases for services and for security purposes.hotels are so concerned about customers renting or staying at there hotels .hotels should treat customers with the same respect back at the time of them checking out there hotels over the time it takes the hotel maids to inspect individual room usage .it does not take maids 5 days to clean the riooom past the tie customer uses the room for one or two days on average .this is only going to defer hotels business chain profiting and defer customers booking rooms with them corporations.hotels are going to loose potential business in the futures.its been over 5days science I stayed at one of you're hotels and I will make sure .in the future I will pay more money booking a room at any other hotel than b.w in the future due to this fact and there exesive refund policies and I'm a frequent flyer with b.w on a regular bases and it has only gotten worse ever time I stay at a b.w hotel .won't make that mistake again .I will never book another room thru b.w ever again in the future .I'd rather pay more money some where else than have to Hassel with this ***

Customer service said the quote on Groupon is incorrect. I called to ask how could I have a room facing the ocean, because i am using Groupon to reserve the room. He ask the quote on Groupon, after in
Customer service the tone used during the conversation, he told me I don't know how to use the internet to have a quote like that from Groupon the hotel customer service. He said they (Groupon )are wrong, and I would not get a refund if I book through Groupon.

We have been a loyal customer for many years staying only at Best Westerns. My question is this: Last week we spent one night at the Yuba City Best Western, and when my husband checked in they asked him for a $100.00 deposit.
Never ever have had that happen in all the years of our stays. They credited our card back, but not before a couple of phone calls. Is this a new policy or what.
I would like to know if this is legal.

On March 10th I reserved a room at your bestwestern plus in Bloomington mn. It was a much needed time away and I took my daughter and 2 granddaughters ti show them the mall of America.
We checked in around 3:30 and went to the room to get dressed for swimming. We noticed right away the laminate flooring was torn and coming g apart and sticking g up all over the floor we have a 3 year old who tripped twice over the flooring as soon as we got there. We swam fir awhile and went back to room for dinner. I was going to call front desk on their recommendations for delivery and to tell them we needed bedding fir the fold out sofa.
The room phone was not working and I looked under the table to make sure it was plugged in and here their were 2 ungrounded wires cl9se to the outlet. My daughter took pics. She was not happy we have 2 little kids in this room. She walked to front office to show them the pictures and to get bedding.
While she was gone I tried to pull the sofa bed out and it was broken. 2 side bars were broken completely off and it only folded out 1/2 way. I called my daughter on get cell and told her thus while she was at the front desk . By now I was not happy at all.
My daughter came back and said they would bring a cot which took a very long time. She also said the front person called the maintenance guy about the wires and he said "they should be fine " and he said that couch had been broken for a while and shouldn't be advertised as a "sofa bed". The hotel was full so the front desk told my daughter u will be compensated fir all of this. We had a pool view/pool side suite so we knew it would be loud until pool closed at 10.
It was well beyond 10 and kids were still screaming in the pool. Didn't get much sleep on the cot so I woke up early to make some keurig coffee but the coffee maker was missing. After breakfast my daughter went to talk to front desk to see about being compen sated. They told her because I went through expedia I would gave ti deal with them.
Last night I talked ti expedia and all they could do was give me 47.00 in points. I went to see I'd my review was on there and it was but also a review was made on March 6th concerning the same exact issues. Room 2210.so your hotel knew these issues prior to our booking so that is your hotels responsibility to either of had them fixed or not to rent that room. I do belive those wires like that is a fire hazard and you will do what's right in compensating me fir this awful nightmare .
Hope to hear from u very soon or I will have to proceed with the next step.

Not my experience personally I'm not surprised by the guests reports, well a friend of mines had emergency evacuate after a situation. K so the deal was got room for couple weeks problem solved No....
Quality over Quantity any time. I'd like to give the BEST Western A whole Hands Down for the services provided. Not to mention these folks are already experiencing a delicacy of missing their own bed tonight or any night for the matter. So you choose a place that's cheap n what happens.
OMG they had bugs refused to refund money then apparently got banned.... They do that at Best Western right here in my hometown that's all bad

We don't know what condition our home is in and was told to stay where we reside until further notice we need some assistance money running low for room stay help me please
I evacuated from la I'm at the best western hotel address 6330 River park Dr and I was approved for lodging assistance hut its showing that it was only approved for Louisiana I'm trying to figure out what step do I take for it to be at the hotel that I'm already stationed at been here since 08/28/2021 and I'm in need of the lodging service what should I do please get back in touch with me my name is Tosha Robertson
