Scam/Fraud/Extortion
- - BCCM brokered move to AHR after an estimate.
- - Price rose from $1,500 to $3,700 with $2,000 extra; belongings in a Chicago warehouse; unresponsive.
Best Cross Country Movers scammed me into brokering my move from Ohio to Colorado to American Home Relocation after I signed a contract or what they call an "estimate." My original contract/estimate with BCCM was for $1500 all fees included. My NEW contract with American Home Relocation is for $3700 no fees included.
AHR demands I pay them the extra $2000 before putting my belongings back on the truck (which they should have never been taken off of) and bringing them to me; currently they are being held hostage in some warehouse in Chicago. BCCM claims they had no idea my belongings were taken off the truck and put into a warehouse and cannot get in touch with AHR via phone or text. Meanwhile, neither company has kept their side of the deal with dates or prices which makes me think even if I did send the money I would still never see my belongings again. Not only are they impossible to get in contact with, once you do get someone on the phone they are the rudest, most horrible, scum-of-the-Earth people who more often than not hang up on you or block your number after a heated conversation so you are not able to call them back.
DO NOT USE BEST CROSS COUNTRY MOVERS OR AMERICAN HOME RELOCATION!!! If I could give them negative stars I would!
