I live in a log home. I have exposed ceiling on the porches on the front and left side of my house. The ceilings are tongue and groove boards. I was assured the ceiling on the porches would be fine. I did ask prior to any work being done. Using nail guns to attach the shingles, "Blew out" the boards on my ceiling! My contractor said it would cost 2500 dollars to put a fake ceiling over the mess they made. They are not willing to work with me and have turned me over for collection
