Terrible, unprofessional service

Visited today the Christiana store. We asked for a booth in the dining room. We were presented a booth in the bar. The host was told this was unacceptable. He said it's still a booth. The host was told DIRECTLY I have PTSD and Anxiety Disorder and cannot be seated there. He looked at me like he clearly had no idea what I was talking about and wasn't about to change his rotation order ( despite being told we would wait for the dining room). He walked away. Our server was a clearly overseated bartender that was spread to thin to provide reasonable service. I was SHAKING by the time the host, despite a ROW of booths behind me, sat a noisy party right at my back! The manager did relocate us but with retaliation. I barely got a dab of pasta. The oil was not brought to the new table. We did not get offered bread. My Senior Citizen Mother had to carry her own beverages. I was not offered a coffee refill, got one after being shown the check folder. I had to ask the middle aged busboy to bring me cream. BTW, He was the only attentive and friendly person I encountered. Kudos to Raphael (?). That same busboy had to bring the bag and take up the check (He ought to be managing the place. He's the only one that knew what he was doing). Dessert was not offered until the bill was being brought the second time. I am myself a former restaurant manager. I could run a list of seating and service errors made by that host. Sadly, he appeared to be training others!?!?! No attempt to compensate for the situation was offered beyond a new table followed by (clearly intentional) poor service. It was not that long ago I went out of my way to call and COMPLIMENT that same restaurant for its great service and food (citing my background in the field). Sad it has so quickly done a 180 turn from proficient to pathetic! I will certainly be posting elsewhere and informing my various affiliations to avoid the place. Those reading this with PTSD or any other special needs are advised to go elsewhere; your needs and requests will obviously be scoffed at and ignored by the inconsiderate and inept staff.

The host was rude and arrogant. Seating was requested FOUR TIMES to accommodate a disability, and not only ignored but SCOFFED AT!! NO apology or reconciliation was offered by the manager, nor recompense by corporate. STAY FAR AWAY FROM BERTUCCI'S DELAWARE!!!

I wrote a preveiuos review entitled bugs everywhere. What I forgot to include is what happened after my review. About a month later someone from the restaurant called me and then sent me a $30.00 gift card. So we decided to try a different location and to my astonishment the same thing happened. These fruit flies where everywhere. I am sorry I gave them a second chance. Will never go there again.

Disappointed

We went to the White Marsh, Maryland location for lunch. Because there were not many customers upon our arrival, we were quickly seated. Not long after we ordered and received our drinks. When it came to getting our food, it was quite a different story. Our pizza was served without plates, and it took several minutes before we were given plates. The other meal came later. We asked for bread twice, but that never came, and in previous visits we got salad with meals, no salad! Both meals were not appetizing; the pizza was cold. Horrible service! The waiter said several people called in that day, and he was waiting on people, cooking the food, and serving the food. This is no way to run a business, do not expect us to return.

Bugs everywhere

On the 15th of September we ate at this restaurant and there were gnats flying around everywhere . I told the waiter and he said that the exterminators had been there every day for the last 4 days and still cannot get rid of them.He then moved us to a different side of the restaurant but still the same problem. These small flies were everywhere and I should have left.I guess at first I felt sorry for the waiter as he was very nice about it but now I am a little pissed off and wonder if it may be to late to do anything about it. He gave us a free $2.50 dessert.Bid deal. We should have gotten a free meal at least. I wished I spoke to the manager but I did not. It is my feeling that if you cannot contain a host of fruit flies then you should close down until he problem is corrected.I would never eat at this establishment again.

Restaurant Service Review

We were seated for fifteen minutes, not one person stopped to see if we had been helped. Six employees passed by us, no one said anything to us and we were not even offered something to drink. People seated after us were already being helped. We left. I will never go to Berticcis again.

Do not purchase gift cards from Bertucci's restaurant

I placed an order on 12/10 for a gift card to be mailed to me. It is now 12/17 I've called several times, they tell me they have my order but it has not been shipped out yet. I ask why??? They tell me they do not know and that it is going into the Escalation dept????? I asked to cancel this order, they tell me I am not allowed to cancel!!!!!! Why not?// I am soooo frustrated. I wanted to give this gift card out on 12/20. Now I will not be able to. DO NOT PURCHASE A GIFT CARD FROM BERTUCCI'S RESTAURANT!!!!
