Truck buying
Avoid !!! I called about a truck they had advertised, they wanted me to set a appointment which I did for the next afternoon . they called me the next morning and told me they had received other calls and if I wanted to reserve the truck I should put a deposit, they said this would save the truck for me, which I did. When we got there at our appointment time they said they sold it. The sales men was rude. Then the manager said " we have other trucks" clearly bait and switch... Stay away !

I am car shopping. I have a credit rating of 0 as I owe nobody any money and own my home of 15 years outright. I have had the same well paying job for 14 years. Ironically, this makes acquiring a car loan difficult. This is not the fault of Bertera's. I told this to the dealer immediately. He still wanted (a lot of) my time. He directed me to the car he thought I should be driving. I, very stupidly, got talked into filling out a loan application before I even saw the car. Then I was asked to wait outside as the car would be pulling up. L-O-N-G wait. The dealer called me inside and told me I was right. My credit score was 0. He said I had a couple of options: the first being to get a co-signer. I was living. I am 62 years old; not a 16 year coming in with my dad. I never even saw the car. I may have to just pay cash for my next car, but I will not drop it at Bertera's

*** BERTERA *** DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE FROM BERTERA
I purchased a car from Bertera and brought it back to them twice WITHIN 30 days. Each time they said nothing was wrong with it and told me to bring it to Toyota, "they would say the same thing". So I brought it to Toyota and at the time I brought it to them it went over 30 days. It turns out the car needed a new engine. I was stuck dealing with a lawyer for a year and had to get another reliable car to drive in the mean time. After a year of dealing with a lawyer I only got $1000 while the new engine cost me $6000. I had to save up enough money to replace the engine and at the same time pay two car payments and insurance on both cars. Another year went by and I was still not able to sell the car by itself so I had to trade both of my cars in for one car. Now, years later I'm basically still paying for two cars due to all of the negative equity, and will be until my car is paid off. Do not buy from Bertera, they ruined my life.
