I have been out sick for 2 weeks with a doctor's note and today memorial Day was asked if I wanted to take a shift and I said it was a federal holiday and I am a military family to have received an email stating that I am terminated. In the state of California I thought this is illegal.
I gave doctor's note for the two weeks I was out with a sinusitis acute sinusitis.
This company needs to be investigated. If they do not care about the help of their employees and would want you to come in on a Federal holiday without pay holiday pay and to be terminated this company needs to be investigated or better yet shut down.
