Beckner Maintenance

I hired Randy Beckner at Beckner Maintenance (based in Petaluma, California) in September, 2022 to clean my solar panels and my windows (interior and exterior), and blow off my roof and clean out my gutters. I experienced numerous problems with their service.
The first problem was that there was a rainstorm shortly after they did their work, and one of my gutters overflowed and was clearly clogged.

Randy only sent someone back to my house to check the clogged gutter after I insisted very strenuously. It turned out that there was a mesh type screen in the corner of my gutter and the original worker did not even lift the mesh to clean under it. The second trip to clean my gutter did resolve this issue.
The second and more serious issue is that Beckner Maintenance uses some type of special water formula for their window and solar panel cleaning that is not like regular water, and this special water formula splashed all over my car's front windshield. Days after the work was completed I discovered that the special water formula had permanently etched spots into my front windshield that could not be removed, no matter what I tried.

The spots were so numerous and so prominent that it made driving difficult when the sun hit the windshield in certain ways. I reported the problem to Randy, and sent him photographs of the water damage, and he ignored me and declined to answer the multiple texts and email that I sent to him. In the end I had to file an insurance claim with my auto insurer to have my front windshield replaced because the water spot damage was so severe. I reported all of the contact information for Beckner Maintenance to my auto insurer so they could go after Randy for costs that they should not have had to bear.
So I strongly discourage anyone from hiring Beckner Maintenance for any work around their home.

Randy could have fixed this issue and made things right, and I gave him ample opportunity to do so before I wrote this review.

Instead he chose to repeatedly ignore my texts and email. If you decide to hire this company despite this review, you have been warned.
