Substandard knife

I bought a bird and trout knife. When I pulled out of sheath the handle cut my hand. The metal sticks up above the handle and is razor sharp. Called company talked to owner. Wont replace Sorry company. Do not buy from them.

User's recommendation: Do not purchase from this company.

Sorry as *** substandard knives. Won’t answer emails. Do not buy.

Knife handle had the metal up above the handle that will cut your hand. Sorry workmanship and very non existent customer service and this is an Alabama outfit. What a shame.

User's recommendation: Do not buy this product.

Awful company

Worked for this company via a temp agency, and only stayed 4 hrs. AWFUL conditions in their facility, very poor management, they do not care about their employees at all. Our "safety" equipment consisted of goggles and tape, thats it. Meanwhile we were subjected to breathing the dust from grinding blades, they didnt care if you got cut or burns, and the mens bathroom didnt even have a sink to wash your hands in (final straw for me). Oh, and remember how i said I worked 4 hours, they only paid me for 2, so I got a check for 16.48 for 4 hours of basically slave labor. I hope this company goes under because they do not care about their employees at all.

Bear And Son Cutlery - Bear & Sons cutlery (Damascus steel)
Hey folks, Well i heard of,a company in alabama that made true damascus steel! Well many years, ago i a mcg bear model 544, thick hard steel, and would do its job on any game which needed to be cleaned! That knife was stolen and i was able to replace it with a bear and sons model 544 damascus, the knife, is thinner, will not take an edge like its soft, Sent a three blaxe damScus steel stock and replaced the blade and,the replacement blade was softer than the orignal blade! Its my understanding that they make the blade themselves yet they a waiting on blades! Mcg bear model 544(d) $99.00 Bear & sons model 544 (d) $180.00 Stockman three blade (d) $161.00 I have spent the last 49 years learning how to sharppen knives, and for the money it not worth the hassel, steel is soft, itwill not take an edge nor hold an edge! Really, its a fact, i have pushed it heavy and i tell you this, DAMASCUS STEEL by Bear and SON is not worth the money and,i advise you look else where! Brian D Chambers Sr 770 845 ****

I'm not sure what exactly to make of the problem. When the comments are so poorly written it is hard to really believe the sincerity of the person.

Bear and sons is a ripoff when it comes to price, they pay their employees 8 dollars to make 6 dollar knives and sell them for 60. Shop elsewhere
