Shopping for new bully
Damn I am sure glad I do my homework I am looking for a new dog and was looking at his website. All these comments just made up my mind not to buy from him even though it’s 2019. My last dog Mya recently passed away after living for 13 1/2 years she was the offspring of Biggie of ultimate blues owned by Kim Taylor and Zoe the Dam of what use to be Blue Horizon kennels Owned by Kim’s brother had a great experience dealing with them. But ultimate
Blues has gotten away from breeding the traditional bully’s and are into breeding pocket pits. Which I don’t like or care for wish they were still breeding What I like but with that being said that is their prerogative.
Fair guy
You got to know what your getting your self into when buying dogs worth 2000-****, be well knowledge on everything about the breed, even spend time around one before buying then you will understand what you should be asking and expecting to see. When you buy a pup, instantly have it taken to your vet.
Get health check up, if your shipping on then anything can happen, from other animal exposure, and each pup is different some get stressed more then others traveling. So as far as this kennel, do different then any other, everyone is doing this for a reason, and guidelines and rules must be followed. Nobody waste thousands of dollars on buying breeding genetics, to have bad reviews, and attempts to have the kennel shut down.
General breeders, need a good reputation, so genetics, and performance in management are key to a good kennel. Either way when you want something, you have to always accept its your decision to buy.
BAD BREEDER Christopher Thornton at Bayou Bully Kennels
If you are ever in the search for an American Bully, Pitbull style dog DO NOT get one from Christopher Thornton at Bayou Bully Kennels in Minden, Louisiana. He is a low down dirty crook who talks and talks like he is a reputable breeder with quality American bully style Pit Bulls but DO NOT believe a word he says!!! This pup was for my son and he is now heartbroken due to the condition of his dog, it is sickly and very unhealthy and he will do nothing to help let alone answer his phone. The only thing we got was excuses until we finally stopped calling.
We purchased a dog off of him and it was a horrific experience. We got our pup and it was infested with worms, it had demodectic MANGE which made all of the pups hair fall out, I mean huge patches of hair missing all over its body.
We had to spend thousands of dollars to treat the pup and he still isn't completely healthy after a year of treatment. I spoke to a few people who are also breeders local to him because I was so upset and they said he is nothing but a crook, he is a backyard breeder, liar, and the dogs are all treated as money makers for him used as a puppy mill. His house is a mess and the yard is completely infested with fecal matter which the dogs play and roll around in. They said we made a big mistake using Chris Thornton at Bayou Bully Kennels as he is known to the area to be a very dirty dealing individual.
I wanted to make this post to forewarn anybody in the market for a Pitbull, Bully, American Bully, ABKC, Razors Edge, Gottiline, XXL style dog to NOT deal with him or you WILL regret it.
There are many many other good breeders out there who are true professional kennels, like Devils Den Bullies they seem to be the best. I saw pictures of Christopher Thorntons house where he keeps his dogs and it was a mess, I wish I would have known all of this before we purchased the pup.
He said he would reimburse the pup and help pay for the costs but refused to return any of our calls afterwards.
We have contacted the local Animal Humane authorities to investigate his Kennel and have him shut down. He comes off like he is a good guy but trust me you DO NOT want to go through hat I had to go through with him. It took us to call the authorities to have him email us and he threatened us saying you don't know how we roll in the south and that he will come find us. That is why i posted this in an alias name because I wouldn't put it past him from what I heard. But he knows who I am regardless, luckily he does not have our home address.
Take this lesson learned from my family and I.... DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH BAYOU BULLY KENNELS or you WILL regret it, I can assure you that. I wish I cold post a picture of my dog for you to see how awful he looks, however we still love him and he is part of our family.
Sincerely disappointed X customer,
Brian.

No I am not the breeder, been around these dogs over 20 years, including breeding. I bought 2 through this breeder 6 months apart.
And if you did read what I said, blus coat dogs have severe allergies, so even if he was given shots, the new owner would be knowledge enough to take the pup to the vet within 3 days of pick up. No skin condition would appear in less then 3 days, and a vet would have prevented that with the first visit. All I was saying if you spend 2000-**** grand on a show dog, dont buy one and not know what your getting your self into. Pup would have had pictures of weekly appearence, up to the point of pick up, or airport shipping.
If one sign of health issues was noted then speak with the breeder. It takes a month for mange to become that bad, so I am only taking the side of people who spend money wisely on investments they understand are to the level of understanding. A blue coat pup is the most hypo allergenic dog trait out there, all mine over the years required special diets to keep allergies controlled, if not there in the vets, with cones. Plan and simple its genetic trait.
Everybody wants a Ferrari , but nobody wants to understand its not a kids toy, its a show car, buy beware, and I buy from many different kennels across the usa, and import to my country. So not to be disrespectful to the family or the pup, when you buy a dog get the health records, and in 3 days your vet can solve any issue before they evolve to that condition
I'm guessing this is the breeder in question.
I doubt these people spent the kind of money these dogs cost, then were willing to spent so much in the care after the fact, but didn't get the dog to the vet upon arrival.
Doesn't make sense. Doubt they would be complaining if the breeder (you I suspect ) had done something to make it right.
Honestly for the kind of money these dogs cost, the pup should have seen the vet at least 3 times before shipping.
At least for 1st and 2nd shots, and the day before shipping should be procedure. Otherwise the breeder runs a puppymill.
