Emergency Room visit billed as ROUTINE visit
A friend was sent to St. Joseph North by ambulance since she had fallen in the ALF facility.
Come to find out there was NOTHING wrong with her and she was sent back to the facility by ambulance.
St. Joseph North billed Medicare for a ROUTINE ER visit - what is ROUTINE about being brought in by ambulance.
MEDICARE does not pay for ROUTINE visits and now the hospital wants the money from her. Talking to billing department was no help - they even said if this bill is not paid it will co to collection!!
Bottom line - stay away from Bay CAre and its hospitals!!
