I can say that legally because I have the documentation and illustrative evidence to prove it. Please see the attached emails and pictures for verification. They lied outright and attempted to enrage me into an inappropriate exchange, I believe so that they could frame me as difficult and unreasonable. I didn't take the bait. Their "Shipping Saints" compulsory delivery service is more expensive and slower than any I've ever encountered. In addition to the $50.00 shipping fee they charge 15. for "packaging." Worse yet, in the weeks it takes for them to ship, they send self-congratulatory emails telling you how wonderful they are, apparently in order to con you into believing you're not getting screwed.", "Aviod these idiots".

Verified ReviewerThey sent me a damaged gun and require me to either file an insurance claim falsely stating it was damaged in shipping or lose $167. in shipping fees to return it directly.
On 7/18/21, I won a "WINCHESTER 1897 12 GA SHOTGUN" from Bauer Auction Service for $885.00 on the Hibid online site. It appeared to be structurally perfect in the illustrations.
I paid Bauer's shipping service ("Shipping Saints") to have it shipped to NY Police Supply in Rochester, where it arrived some 3.5 weeks later. When the FFL and I unboxed it, the gun was severely cracked. I sent Bauer an email along with a picture of the crack, stating "This needs to be refunded and returned. The stock is seriously cracked.
It did not happen over the course of shipping; it was packaged well and the box is in undamaged condition" and pointing out, "the damage was neither pictured nor described in the listing." You will note, in subsequent responses (documentation attached), the Shipping Director, Ami Rout proceeds to arrive at two brazenly contradictory determinations in back-to-back emails. She offers me two options, either (1) to file an insurance claim with Shipping Saint or (2) to return the firearm at my expense.
Problem is, the first option would require me to perjure myself by swearing that the firearm was "not in a damaged or 'as is' state when purchased" and the second option would require me to incur the loss of $167.17 in shipping and FFL fees because Bauer sold me defective merchandise. I, therefore, requested that she pay for postage to have the piece returned and, upon receiving it, provide a full refund, pointing out that I shouldn't have to pay 167.17 for Bauer's mistake.

Verified Reviewer | Seattle, WashingtonThey suck
I bought a few items from these people and had them shipped. Instead of protecting them (old painted wood plaques) they taped the plaques together with duct tape right across the painted face of the plaques.
Any attempt to remove the tape would destroy the plaque.
I tried to contact Bauer, but they would not respond. Also, descriptions were less than accurate.
Preferred solution: Full refund
