Who in their right mind would by a 202q Ram 1500 TRX for $410 0** **? Great!- it's got 700 hp... but for a street truck where do you think you'll be able to use all of that? I don't trust new autos!

Prices for these are way out of line... the only reason I think they are, is because the safety of MUSCLE CARS exceeds the Hathaway they make today and they're trying to take credit for THAT!!AngryAngry

My mistake if this is for charity, at least that's what I just saw them mention and that's great!

Viewing concerns

Hire a production company that understands lighting. All we see is human shadows on cars that we cant tell if their red or black or blue.

And you need to clearly explain interiors and under the hood highlights because we surely cant see them. MECUM is so much easier to watch.

Barrett Jackson Auction - DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
Original review updated Dec 30, 2022

warning to all barret jackson buyers...after being the winning bidder on a 1964 chevelle conv. with perfect paint job, and after being forced to ship with their shotty transport service, the car was damaged in transport to me...after sending video of car with no damage crossing auction block with no damage to them (which they already had), they claimed the damage was preexisting and blew me off...mike mccullough, claims manager was rude and showed zero professionalism and his boss bob sellers is a joke as he looks into nothing...the damage amounted to a ding in the left rear quarter panel clearly seen in video and this bunch took no responsibility.

also the car sold as a frame off rotisseree restomod was never finished...no gauges, unfinished a/c., wrong water pump, no brakes, incomplete wiring

very disappointing misrepresented experience. will never go back

I have photos of problem and repairs made to fix car.I have a copy of the Barrett Jackson listing.I have a copy proof of saleI have copy of agreementI want to change settlement from apology to demand recovery of $7, 500 loss for repairs and loss value at car sale. I only was able to get only $14, 500 including the repair costs.

Original review Jul 07, 2022

I was a day late. By the time the auction started.

Therefore I didn't have a chance to look at the cars up for auction.

I bid on a Porsche 911 convertible with 45k miles on it. It was stated that it had no issues in writing. I bought it to flip it.

The car wouldn't crank and there was no gas in it.

I was embarrassed. It had to be jumped and a couple gallons of gas were put in by the staff

The problem was a serious electric problem that would drain a brand new Porsche battery within a few days.b

Still not paid

I sold a car in January at their auction and it's the end of March. Still not been paid.

Can't get a return call from Mike McCullough. But he sure took care of this who are his "friends" because they've all been paid.

Customer service

I purchased a 1976 eldarado convertible in April if 2019 that I believe the stated specification and information was incorrect

I just recently got around to have the car looked by professional mechanics as I am trying to sell it

Listed as fuel injected but in fact has carburetor

Suspected mileage was turned back by condition of front axel wear and tear

What recourse do I have for false and misleading information

I would like Barrett Jackson to buy it back from me for paid amount, taxes. and cost of shipping

Why do those Barret Jackson auctions not have import tuner cars for bids. Import Tuner cars is the future of collecters cars all they got is mostly old american cars.

Tuner cars do not appreciate. They are also mostly not collectible. They are cool in their own right.

Barrett Jackson Auction - Auctioneer Review

Barrett Jackson Auction - Auctioneer Review

Barrett Jackson the big TV car auctioneer isn't what it appears to be. Their appraiser told me my car would fetch $70-$80k at their auction and it would do better without a reserve.

When I was delivering the car, they noticed the dash Vin tag wasn't there. The car was a complete restoration and it must have gotten lost. They helped me locate a glass company and referred me to a guy who could make a Vin tag and provide original rivets. Barrett Jackson employee, Sean helped through out the process with pulling the car from the main viewing area to way out back, away from the crowds.

Affordable Glass came, pulled the windshield and then the Vin tag was put on in front of Sean from Barrett Jackson. (who volunteered to put it on.) The car was reassembled and two days latter put on the auction block with no disclosure of the Vin tag mishap. They spent 28 seconds on my car in the auction versus 3+ minutes on other cars., my car is $150k build and beautiful car. It went for $55k and the auction was ended abruptly.

(TV commercial) They never showed the under carriage which was highly detailed. 95% of the crowd is not bidders but spectators watching that buy a ticket to come in. Barrett Jackson gets a 10% buyers premium and an 8% sellers fee. I had offers in the $60's for my car in Maine.

So I paid, $2100 to ship it to Florida, air flight and hotel, plus they charged me $1200 for putting it on it "prime time". Don't list a car in their auction, go to buy only. Also on the gala night there were a lot of *** working the room. No one seemed to care and just let it go.

Speaking to locals who work the show every year say it's a routine thing.

PS - Before Barrett Jackson gets their panties in a bunch, I recorded everything, the phone call with the appraisal amount, the windshield and Vin tag operation with Sean the employee and have all my text messages with Brian Rose, employee of Barrett Jackson. It would be interesting to hear what the Florida State Police who license and investigate car dealers and auctioneers would have to say about this.

You committed a federal crime by installing a vin tag, and you're writing about it like it's their fault? You owned the car, you knew it didn't have a vin tag, and you've incriminated yourself in writing.
