I signed up for the free trial of bargain network. I never used the service and attempted to cancel my service before the trial was up. I thought the account was canceled. However a few days later i checked my online bank account statement and noticed i had still been charged the "refundable" dollar plus $39.80 for a months services. I called Bargain network for a listing of forclosed homes. I realized a week after calling that I could get this information free on the internet. So I called to cancel after paying $1.95 for the shipping of the list. The operator I spoke with offered me everything under the sun to stay. I refused and said cancel it NOW. I'm in Canada and was interested in buying a house in the US, I called the company. The rep. said that he wasn't able to process my transaction because my credit card was not validating. I hang up thinking that the transaction was cancelled. To my surprise I was billed US$39.80 for 4 mths March- July 2008. Hello, Yes I tried the Bargain Network. The operator told me there were 1300 listings in my area. There were actually 6, th rest were already sold. So I called to cancel. The girl that took my call argued with me that the listings will change and more will be added... I told her that the same listings were in local real estate flyers. Jan 10-08 Bargain Network sent me an e-mail stating that I had donated $5 to the American Red Cross and this official looking e-mail included my home address, e-mail, phone # and the last 4 digits of my new credit card number that I use only for prescriptions thru AARP Prescription Solutions. My doctor calls in prescriptions and I have no e-mail account with PSolutions. I have never used any credit card to buy anything on the internet and did... Read more
