Ripped off by Barberino

in February of this year I encountered a problem with my car, I called Barberino's 2-28-2018 asking if I can have my car towed to there auto repair shop since I purchased the car there and they are familiar with Nissan vehicle. I had my car towed on 3-1-2018 I was told by Barberino that my car would have to be diagnosed before they can began servicing my car.

I was called the next day 3-2-2018 stating that my car needed an engine and they quoted me a price over the phone . I agreed to the repair, they also stated that it would take 3-4- days to repair my . I stated I had a rental and am only renting it for a few days they assured me it would only take a few days for the car to be repair. I called on monday 3-5-2018 to see the status of my car, I was told the car have not be touched because there is a thousand dollar deposit needed I asked why wasn't this information conveyed to me, I asked if the administrator who I have spoken to by the name of Robert if he can contact me concerning this matter I never received a call from him.

I called again and I finally spoke to Robert I asked why didn't he contact me concerning the deposit, I also stated I only rented the vehicle until the car was repaired. Robert stated he would deduct the rental from my bill. days went by and my car still was not completed. I constantly called asking for Robert he ignored my calls by this time it was 3-12-2018 my car still haven't been completed I then called again on 3-14-2018 and asked for Robert again, the receptionist asked for my name I gave my name, and they told Robert I was on the phone.

He came to the phone and placed me on hold for 25" I then called back on another phone still holding on for Robert but asked for a Manager. then spoke to Brittany Barberino and explained what I was going t, my car has been there since 3-1-2018 when i was told it would be only 3-4-days and now it has been 14 days and I have a car rental they were expecting the car back , Brittany was very apologetic and she said she would handle this matter I told her how this Robert stated he would deduct the car rental from my bill which was three thousand dollars. I stated I am expecting that the car rental be paid by the company since he promised to take car of it and the car was there for 14 days when I was told it was only going to take 3-4 days I spoken to Brittany about three time on 3-14-2018 I received a phone from Robert on 3-15-2018 stating my car was fixed but he advised me have the alternator repaired because the car was making a loud noise. never did he mention from the beginning that an alternator was needed, I told him I am not paying for an alternator .

I received a call from Brittany stating an alternator was needed I questioned why wasn't that revealed when the car was diagnosed. she told me and Robert the alternator would cost additional $485.00 plus labor. I told her that's unacceptable I believe my car was mixed diagnosed I told her that I am not paying for the rental nor the alternator, I then spoke to her again on 3-15-2018 approximately 5:45pm I was not a happy person I told her I feel that they should be responsible for the rental and the alternator, after being on the phone with Brittany for 45" she agreed to pay for the rental and the alternator she told me to bring the receipt when I come in which was day 16 3-16-2018 which the rental has reached the amount of 556.00 she stated for me to return the car in Wallingford there is a enterprise down the street which I was instructed to bring it back to the location from where i rented the car from. I arrive at Barberino , I was introduced to Brittany and the new hire of the auto repair shop that was starting on Monday 3-18-2018 Brittany and I began to discussed what has transpired and I remind her of her promising me that she would take care of the rental and the alternator, she began to deny that she told me that, I said Brittany you are lying you stated at 5:45pm on 3-15-2018 that you would take care of it she said she never told me that and her father would not agree to it.

Eddie the new manger taken 200.00 dollars off my bill, I left the shop very unsatisifed with the outcome. I notice my car was still making noise and i brought the car back a week later my car had to be fixed again. I contacted the better business bureau concerning this matter. I recieved a message stating that a manager would discuss the matter.

I spoke to Rex and conveyed to him the entire story he too asked why wasn't I offered a rental from the company and he didnt understand why would I need an alternator. He said he would have the service department manager contact me which he did, he asked what would I like to be done, I asked for some of my money back I don't believe the engine was blown, my car only have 69,000 miles on it. the manager previously said the oil was clean.Eddie said he would have to speak to Hugo concerning this matter, he then contacted me and said the manager is not willing to compensate me. I contacted Hugo on several occasion I was not able to reach him.

I contacted him on Tuesday 5-29-18 I began to tell my story he hung up the phone on me before I completed my story I called back and asked for him he did not answered the receptionist stated he is not picking up his line I called back the next day he was not available.

I will never purchase another vehicle from this company I purchased two vehicles from this company they are not a reputable company they are liars they are they are scammers I will be taking this matter to a small claims court. Even Eddie and Rex didn't understand why did it take so long for my car to be fixed I am very disappointed with the outcome it is not over yet.

The salesperson take everything but tell me the truth about the car I was buying. My main concern was Winter driving safety and he sold me a clown car. Literally a clown car that can't even get off my own driveway. When I went back to speak with them about it of course the sales person was not there. I had only gotten 12000 miles on the tires and they seem to tell me because it is a high performance car that that the average. Again when I asked about this when buying the car nothing was said about this period 2nd car I'd least from them and the last car. Shame shame shame on

TERRIBLE customer service. My boyfriend and I walked into the service department and not one of the THREE workers there looked up from their computers'. (I should mention- the place was completely devoid of customers, it was just us.) After standing there awkwardly for a couple minutes, one woman finally addressed us just to say "someone will be with you shortly" and then left. The woman closest to us was more interested in the plate of pasta she was carrying around, than actually attempting to help us. In fact she seemed annoyed that we were interrupting her apparent lunch hour. Pasta Lady finally asks if I have an app't (thank God I didn't or I'd really be irritated) to which I responded "no because the guy I talked to yesterday, told me to just walk in." She then goes on to inform me about long waits without an appt... Finally she types in some info and decides she "can't do recalls" and that "Ron (maybe Roy or Ed or something) can help me down there". So we look at "Ron", who at this point has been ignoring us for the past 5 minutes from 3 feet away, who continues to ignore us. We stand there shuffling awkwardly until he finally acknowledges us to come to his station and takes down my info. Literally all he tells us is "you're all set", basically dismissing us without even looking up. So I drop my keys on the desk and get out of there as fast as possible, seeing as how the past 20 mins were painstaking. I figure that someone is going to call me when the work is done. 3 hrs goes by and I'm waiting by the phone for a call because I know they close at 530. At this point I assume that the work got delayed and I won't be able to pick it up till the next day, so I stop waiting by the phone. Well turns out "Ron" calls me at 545 just to say "uh... We're closed now. I ASSUME you'll be needing your car tonight, so we left the keys on your front seat." Very blunt, rude message. Ummm... is that typical for a dealership to leave a car unlocked with the keys on the seat? What if someone stole my car, or things out of it. Why didn't anyone call to say the work was done? It all seemed so sketchy and completely unprofessional. Total lack of communication, and someone clearly hates his job. The whole scene was perplexing. The funny part is, I was going to inquire about trading-in to buy a new Nissan, but I absolutely won't be going back to this place.

Wish I had done my research on this dealership rathere than picking a random salesman on Facebook to do business with.... I went in for a trade-in on March 7, 2018 to be exact. Nonetheless, I was pressured into coming in at 5:45pm to look at cars.... my dumb *** went knowing that it gets dark out by 5pm but I wanted to see my options. This salesperson knee what he was doing and gave me the option of buying a 2014 Maxima yet I would be paying the same as my lease. Well, he didn’t know that I couldn’t trade in a leased car without paying that balance... anyway he talked me into leaving a 1k deposit to “start the process “. Also into getting a co-signer so that my monthly installments wouldn’t be so high, Which I did. I returned that Saturday, which so happened to be a busy day and night because we were there all day. Salesman interchanging amongst multiple customers. So then when we finally picked “our best option” we were greeted by a financier, that explained how the salesman had little knowledge our case in reference to the whole- “co-signer “ and how we couldn’t both be on the contract because my credit was *** and the lease on original trade-in.... we were then pressured into having the car on my co-signer name and told to voluntarily surrender my original trade in leased car which supposedly was affecting my credit and well nonetheless we did. I regret-not just going with my guy and walking out the *** hole. I definitely would not recommend them and just wonder why..... I have been trying to get ahold of a “manager” there yet it’s 11:25 a.m and one isn’t clocked in yet. After all This, I have asked a friend of mine whom is a car salesman and he stated he purchased his first car there and his friend was a manager there and they both agree they are thieves just trying to make a quick dollar!

Very dissatisfied

I had my car towed into Barberino Nissian on 3/1/2018 for them to service my car. I was told I needed a engine and the car would be fixed 3_4 days. I decided to call after a few days to see if my car was almost done. Being that I rented a car. I called the receptionist told me I needed one thousand dollars before.

We we in to do a trade on a vehicle, they said just surrender vehicle and they could give us a better deal. Barbarino said they had a 2017 Nissan Sentra for 550 a month and for some reason they hurried us through process, they didn’t allow me to read before talking my husband into signing. Now we pay 650 another instead of Wtf550

I purchased a 2017 Nissan Sentra S from this dealership. First of all I ended up overplayed way to much for this car.

I am 19 years old and they saw a young kid and took advantage of me. This car is selling new for 13,000 and they screwed me for 23k+ interest. Unfortunately to say that is just where the problem begins. At 15k miles my cars clutch gave out and I was told it was blown.

It never once slipped never once shown signs of failure nothing. They also told me the fly wheel was cracked and the whole job would cost over $4000.

Overall this is the worst dealership I’ve ever been too and they will take advantage of you. Their vehicles are defective and I’m currently is a battle with Nissan to get the car repaired so I can sell it and get out of this *** I’ll still be upside down on the loan but better than owning a Nissan!

#1 Its your own fault you paid to much. If you had a high interest rate its not the dealers fault you have poor credit.#2 as a former mechanic if your flywheel is cracked and the clutch is shot at 15k miles, it means you are terrible at driving manual.Don't blame the dealer because you are an idiot.

Also forgot to mention that to diagnose this issue they put the car on a lift and said that there was “clutch” residue on the undercarriage. They did not pull the tranny and have nothing to base this off of. Just residue

BEAWARE !!! Of the place ... trade in dosent go toward down payment . Went here on a Saturday morning thinking this was a good place to start looking for a suv. My co worker lease a Nissan Altima earlier this year and I ask how her experience was when she went. She had all good reviews, so I thought this would be a great place to trade in my 2009 Camry and put the trade toward a new or used suv. Horrible experience here . I ask even before they ran my credit will I be able to use my car trade in as my down and to not to run my credit to many times. First they still wanted me to put down 1000 dollars.next the ran my so many times. Really pissed at this dealer and will never go here in my life. Still stuck at why I couldn’t use my car as a down payment ??? I finally left out and went to another dealer car max and I thought they would be worst but they turnt out to be awesome through out the whole process and trade. Received 3000 for my trade in it all went toward a used 2014 Nissan Rouge with 28000 miles on it and in a matter of 30 second was approved and walked out with a SUV. Now this is what I call good I mean excellent service. Well done carmaxand they never get the credit they deserve. So, to all the customer that giving Barberino good reviews they really suck and it need to be more bad reviews on there website because I know I’m not the only person who experience this from Barberino. BEAWARE THEY R NOT FOR THE PEOPLE and more ur trade is not going toward ur down payment and the bank that’s why many bank denie u. Where is the money for ur trade in going toward ??????

300 cars a month

Not commenting from prior experience, just curious to reviews I've read. I hear they sell 300 cars a month. Sounds very productive. Also heard from a former salesperson is that most of the customers have awful credit and desperately need a car. This is the best scenario for their salesteam. They will put you in a car. But first run your poor credit history through 8 or so different lending companies, (which will kill your credit score worse than it was) and they will get you approved... just be prepared to be financed for... oh.. about ... 28.99 % !!! You have *** credit, you need a vehicle, no one else will finance you, so.. they got you. But let's keep in mind... they weren't responsible for your poor credit problems, but they will benefit from it. This is how it was explained to me..

Okay, so I get your response regarding this person's experience, but to be honest, you should have been the better person. I was looking at possibly going to your organization for a Rogue for my daughter but am so put off by your response to this client.

It doesn't look good to lower yourself to that level, even if the guy is shady. I'll pass.
