AI Highlights
  • - Online banking is unreliable with login issues and downtime.
  • - The site is often down and there was a security issue with an old BoB number.
Original review updated Oct 23, 2023

Have been with BoB since 1998. Branch experience is mixed, but online is a nightmare.

I raised it with the ex-chair when he held a customer meet. No action whatsoever.

If I am lucky, and the website works, then it's still is a harrowing experience just to sign in and use the online account. Get messages on the phone plus email. For log in, one message and one email.

For transaction, several messages and emails. Frustrating.

Also, the online banking site goes down more often than a mosquito bite in a hilly area. Have been trying to access online account to make some fund transfers. Website is down (BoBibanking.com) so is their site where you can make a complaint.

How very convenient.

For all the inconvenience they cause for operating online, they quote 'safety' as reason. However, I had a bad experience once with them. I used a contact number online (this was an old phone number BoB used) to discuss some access issues. However, that number was being used by a fraudster who used our access details and tried to take money.

I got suspicious and terminated the call. How can BoB allow any random person to pick the phone numbers they once used? Why should they even change their numbers so often?

Branch experience is also mixed - depends entirely on the branch manager.

Not sure how BoB operates in the 21 century. The only reason I continue is because this bank is good rasi and there is safety for money.

Loss:
$45
Pros:
  • Lucky bank
Cons:
  • Poor online experience also reckless in keeping old contact no

Preferred solution: Some thought on the poor plight of online customers and the agony we go through

User's recommendation: Horrible online experience - brace yourself up for that. Otherwise, lucky bank.
