- One Bandag retread blew after under 1,000 miles, damaging a steel fender.
- Spokane shop refused service, saying Bandag isn’t mounted on tow trucks.
I have had a negative 1st experience with local representative, and have reached out to corporate on line with Zero response and have had help from pissed consumer, and still zero response, what now ,
I mounted the tires on May 3rd, 2026. I got less than 1,000 miles, and one blew like a bomb. It destroyed my steel fender, which isn't the problem. Now I have 3 new Bandag retreads.
I reached out to a local company in Spokane, Washington, and was told I am not the original purchaser, and they refused to even look at my new tires. They told me they wouldn't mount Bandag tires on a tow truck, only on a UPS or FedEx truck because tow trucks are light and heavy back and forth. I said, 'So FedEx and UPS are not heavy and light, loaded and unloaded?' I must say I really love the tires, everything about them, and I realize sometimes things happen. Instead of pulling the other 3 and buying a set of new non-retread tires from Less Swab, I still believe in these Bandags.
My issue is you need to stand behind your tires when they cost hundreds each and a manufacturer defect happens. I'm not asking for a new fender, just a good tire that I can count on. Please, I fully believe the company will just give me another matching tire so we can go on and continue to do business, or I'll never buy from this company again and will tell this negative story to everyone I meet. Fair is fair; I'm owed a new tire.
I see no area for me to send photos in this link.
Thank you for your attention to this. Steve, TowNgo.
