The bank has now paid a 2nd invoice on the "closed" account with 0 on it.They pester us every day with emails, calls, robo calls asking to insert personal ID information (!), although we paid both invoices without the fine, and warned them again to close the account and never bother us again.
Banco Sabadell continues to refuse to close the account after months of effort on our side. They claim in phone calls that there is no mechanism to do it on the phone, contrary to their own website, which says it is possible.
I do not know what to thin of a bank that takes 3 weeks to close an account, sends a confirmation of it, then takes money off your account to pay an automatic payment - without informing you - and then charging an exhorbitant fee to do so.
Even after transferring the money, which we should not have done, having YET ANOTHER conversation with their telephone service with the promise of the branch manager calling us to resolve the issue, we received an email saying we should call or go to the branch to close our account! Ridiculous time wasting non-service.
Avoid them at all costs. All the positive reviews are probably AI generated, as they do not in any way reflect the lousy service we have got from Day 1 at Banco Sabadell.
