So very horribly inconsistent! plus,if she doesnt like you, the mean cook intentionally ruins your food!
Where do I start? First of all, upon ordering, the wait staff speaks no English, simply nods, repeating "yes, yes" , even when asked, nicely "Do you understand ". 'Yes, yes" but Clearly don't, proven when your order arrives. Old lady cook is mean as *** hates me because she forgot to put any cashews in the cashew chicken and I brought ut back so she could do it over and I was very nice about it but she argued with the waitress, and the food was right there, so I asked, 'what do you think I picked them out?" And then payback! First order after complaint~ a box of cashews, chicken and nothing but, 2nd order after, spicy #2 requested, spicy #57 served and proceeded to burn my mouth, good thing I was able to pour myself a glass of milk, 3rd order after was sweet and sour beef with no pineapples no red, green peppers or celery, or cukes, nothing but two tiny pieces of beef, as opposed to 12~15, and shreds of basic white onion chunks. Why do I keep going when she's working? Because shes the only one of the 3 chef employees who can cook, and if she doesnt know its me ordering its delicious, but if someone else is cooking, its *** Inconsistent as *** So yes, avoid this place~ also, they put a little cardboard boat of rice in the box with your food and within five minutes paper carboard flavor and wet soggy paper is in your food. Don't they ever do this for themselves and see what a fail this new style of packaging is?? Oh, and they put your thai ice tea drink in the bag with your cashew chicken side by side in a thin take out box this equals warm, ice diluted ice tea and a very cold side of your food spreading chill across your meal. Who bags a drink in with your food? Bamboo Thai staff has no experience, and are non English-speaking employees. I get that usually Asian restaurants have Asian employees, but generally the customers are non Asian speaking Americans and to have waitstaff that know not a word of English (except yes yes~) and are guessing everything, is ridiculous. Hire Asians who at least know the basic restaurant English, like no ice, extra beef, etc. Anyone who asks for a "Spicy number?' What? "Spicy number? please?" on a order of sweet and sour? ? Are people who do not actually know what they're asking. Only the dishes that use curry, heat, and pepper need a `spicy number` avoid this placd, the food is awful unless its the 80 year old nasty *** cooking, because she's the only one who can and she doesn't work much any more. Consequently, I cant just call and go pick up my food anymore, since there's only one decent cook. I have to casually walk by, see who's cooking and then order without her seeing me and that means calling from around the corner with my cell phone. Best to simply avoid this place, there's better options close by. I feel they owe me for the four meals the B intentionally ruined and at $18 a piece thats a lot of money!
