Horrible experience

On 1/27 we arrived at Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro in Punta Cana around 8pm. We attempted to check in and the front desk informed us that the hotel was full and we would be staying at Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda. After we took a golf cart and reloaded our luggage , a driver took us to the new resort. We checked in, when we arrived to our room, the draws on the dresser were broken, we informed the front desk and they sent a technician to fix them, this was around 11pm - he came and couldn’t fix them so he left and went to get new draws and then came back and fixed it. This was an inconvenience because we were tired from our long flight from New York. The next day on 1/28/2019 we attempted to have breakfast at 10:30a but we were told all restaurants we closed – we had to wait until 12:30pm, when we asked guest services they did not inform us that pisces was 24hours , we later found this out, room service also only listed toast for breakfast - unbelievable. We spent the rest of our day at the Privilege club and signed up for a 10 year membership, one of the representatives took our identification cards home this had us stressed and worried, as soon as we realized we went back to the privilege club and we were told to come back tomorrow the guy had already left with the identification cards in his pocket. The next day we were able to retrieve our identification cards. On 1/30/2019 we returned to our room approximate 7pm and found our room 97217 door open , the lock was broken and the key was not needed to enter the room. It opened without the key upon entry. Cris the guest services manager came and called the lock smith, a security guard was also there, he spent almost 2 hours to replace the lock, he stated it was fixed, I have all of this on video. We asked for a manager or director, we were told that he was not on the property and was at home. On 1/31/2019 the door lock was found to be broken again as it was previously. They moved us to a new room 92113, we had to pack up all of our belongings and move this was a huge inconvenience. After returning from the spa on 2/1 we found the new rooms lock to be broken again, I have this on video also. We went to dinner at Maiko that night and found roaches on the hibachi table, I brought it to the waiters attention and all he could say is sorry. This was unbelievable, we reported it to guest services and nothing was done. On departure date 2/2/2019, I spoke with Albierto Martinez the director about this situation, he said he could do nothing to ensure customer satisfaction or compensate us for all these mishaps. He gave me an email and told me to write to the company. This was the worst vacation ever and it was my birthday trip.

Shattle rules change between booking and flight

On April 4th, 2017, I made my reservation at the Bahia Principe resort which included a free shuttle between the airport and the hotel. With only a few days to go prior to my trip, I am suddenly notified that transportation is no longer included, which leaves me little to no transportation options. I have went to this same resort several times before, as well as a number of other resorts booked through your company, and this is the first time I’ve have to file a complaint. I have contacted Bahia Principe, which confirmed availability of a free shuttle from several airports, with a free shuttle from airport to airport. Last year, travelling to the same resort, I was able to secure a shuttle, and this policy is also mentioned on their website. I haven’t experienced this before in the prior 17 years that I have used you to book the various resorts. I’d like an explanation and clarification of the policy and services offered. Disapointed about customer service

Being at the hotel for 7 days had the feeling that no one cares about customer service. I would rated Grand Bahia Principe at the most 3 stars. My wife had to call and complaint first 3 days about dirty bathroom, no towels, bath tub not working (water stays) and bathrooms has no vent at all. At the lunch i was choosing what to put on my plate when 2 times in one minute service people slide into me and they didn't even stop to apologize for it. Then another one, i was at the pool and i asked the service guys that gives clean towels for one they said we are closing and we will not give you one, i told them it will take me 10 seconds to wipe out the water witch he said NO, after that i had to walk all the way to the room wet. Horrible customer Service. Paid a lot of money for what? Disappoint it.

Vacation Nightmare

My fiance and I were so excited to take this vacation as we were celebrating our new engagement. Unfortunately it all turned into a nightmare. To start, we had issues from day one with simple requests like having towels brought up and fixing things in our room. The staff frequently forgot about requests and at most times went unresolved. At the time these were more annoyances than anything and we didn't pay it much mind because we wanted to enjoy our vacation. Our third night we were there we were robbed from our hotel room while out to dinner (we had issues with our room safe too). All our valuable electronics in the room were gone, along with all of our cash! We later found out through various employees (management included) and other guests that 3 other rooms had things taken also! Needless to say we were very upset about our things being taken, but became even more upset with the treatment of the hotel staff! We were passed around from person to person frequently having to wait around to speak to someone new. We quickly got the impression that the hotel was simply stalling until our clock ran out and we had to leave for the airport. We communicated with the hotel after our return home regarding the incident and everything we went through during our stay and were responded with "We're sorry for the inconvenience." If everything is going good, they will certainly be your best friend, but as soon as issues arise you will be low on their priority list. I HIGHLY discourage anyone considering this resort.
