Today I was at the leetsdale and cherry store - the "flagship store" in the denver area. Every line was open and working but there was only 1 - bagger working.
Other baggers were standing around talking to each other and two were out in the parking lot pretending to bring in carts - why - everyone was standing in line with carts - there weren't really any outside. I observer a manager/supervisor standing in the middle of the lines, looking at her clip board - which was pretty ridiculous since anyone could tell - the problem was there needed to be more baggers.
Also, I don't really appreciate the checkers just assuming that the customer is going to bag their own groceries. - sorry - but you all charge premium prices for your food - and you should treat the customers the same way - I am never expected to bag my own food at Safeway or Costco - Get your staffing up to handle the customers

Thanks for passing my raw ground beef with my pre-cut watermelon that I had no intention of washing. I hate to say it but that is simple common sense and if your baggers don't have that they shouldn't be able to work there.
