Sazon with coriander & annatto
- - Found crunchy crystals in Badia Sazon.

I regularly use Badia Sazon with coriander & annatto 7 oz bottle. I just purchased another bottle and when I used it I felt something crunchy in my mouth, then I poured some on a white surface and noticed crystals mixed in with the sazon.
I contacted Badia and the woman who answered the phone was very rude. She said they have not had a recall and no one else has complained. I asked her if I could send the bottle back or if they could replace it, she said NO and I told her that I didn't feel safe using the product with those crystals in it, and she hung up on me.
So I called again and the same woman answered the phone, and when I started talking she just put the call on hold and didn't come back to the line. As of right now I no longer use Badia products and I will make sure all my friends that I know use Badia, I will make sure they stop using Badia and all social media will know the lousy customer service you have.

Promised to replace rancid product, then ignored
- - Ground flax seed was rancid.
- - Best-by date 2027 and semi-transparent jar raise freshness concerns.
- - Replacement promised by Badia but not fulfilled.
I bought ground flax seed. It was rancid (smelt like paint thinner)
The best by date was 2027, which should have been a warning.
There is no way flax see will stay fresh in a semi transparent jar for several years.
When I emailed Badia they promise to replace the jar. They didn't and now ignore follow up requests.

Customer service very rude..stated that I don't have to buy their products
- - Garlic and onion powder shrink from 10.5 oz to 8 oz in the same container, a deceptive change with higher prices for less and poor service.
I noticed the garlic powder and the onion powder both came in 10.5 oz containers. Now they only put 8 oz in the same type container.
This is very deceptive practice and they charge more for less products. The cus Ser rep said that people were not buying the 10.5 oz so they put 2.5 oz less and charged more!! Bad business. They think the consumer is too ignorant to noticed and that their product is so superior that we will buy it anyway.
Wrong. I will spend my money elsewhere, one reason is bad customer service and I don't like being deceived by using the same container to make me think I'm getting the same as before.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Try buying other manufacturers. I prefer trader Joe's. They are very reasonable and better quality.

Salt & Pepper grinders
- - Badia salt and pepper grinders are hard to turn and don't grind properly.
- - Website shows an insecure popup and the phone number goes to voicemail.
I normally purchase McCormick's salt & pepper grinders but I thought I would save a little money and but the badia grinders. I purchased two each of the salt and pepper.
The grinders are IMPOSSIBLE to turn except in the non grinding backwards mode which obviously is unacceptable because they don't grind that way. They are totally USELESS.
When you go to their website a pop up comes on alerting you to the fact that it is an unsecure web site and I' m not willing to put my computer in jeopardy over this complaint. The phone number goes to voice mail and I have never received a return call.

I just call today to inquire about if their seasonings were gluten free. She replied “not all of them, the ones that are gluten free will say it on the bottle”.
I questioned if the website had a section showing the gluten free products. She rudely replied, “No” and was not helpful in any way. It makes me wonder if the products are gluten free at all or they are advertising it is.
Because if it is gluten free, there still could be cross contamination. My daughter does not need to suffer.
