Baa Da Bing Family Center

I'm absolutely INFURIATED. I had a meeting with the owner of Baa Da Bing, Leslie Graham, because I was going to make and sell tutus for her.

We spoke on the phone and she requested I make pink and purple tutus, so I went to the store and spent money I didn't have to purchase the materials, then spent MY TIME to make them for her. After I was finished making the products she requested, I emailed her pictures (last night, roughly 18 hours before we were supposed to meet).

My husband left work early to make sure he was home in time so we could make it to the meeting I had set up with Mrs. Graham (more money wasted) and we arrived at her "studio" ten minutes early.

We sat and waited to meet with her for twenty minutes. Fed up with waiting I thought I would call her and make sure everything was okay, when I told her who I was and why I was calling she initially seemed surprised, almost as if she had forgotten about our meeting. Then she proceeded to put me down for being late and told me I should have called her sooner because she had already left. I told her I had been sitting in front of her business for twenty minutes and I never saw her, which she responded with "I just assumed you wouldn't come".

As I'm sure you know, I was already steaming mad with how unprofessional she was being, as well as how much she was lying to me. So I told her I would wait for her to "turn around and come back" seeing as I had invested my time and money into this. Then she had the NERVE to tell me she lives too far away to come all the way back (oh really? I thought you just left, so weird) but she'd be happy to set up another meeting.

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

If she would have just been honest about forgetting about our meeting I would have gladly rescheduled with her. But I suppose her "Christianity" only goes so far.

I took my daughter there for the parent's night out where they watch your kids for $5 per hour. When we have her a $20 one of the girls had to go to chick fil a to get change...

so we stood around waiting forever. Meanwhile while waiting for our change my daughter ran out of the facility 3 times and if we weren't standing there she would have gone good knows where because the owner was chatting away on the phone and the other employee was on the computer. When we left we didn't even make it out the mall entrance before she called me telling me that my daughter was crying and it wasn't going to work out and I had to come pick her up. If you're offering child care services, why can't you deal with a crying child for more than 1 minute?

I'm sure my daughter is not the first child to cry when the parent leaves. This place is worthless.

I worked as a "sub-contractor" in the Peters Creek location in January of this year. I ve been trying to get my paycheck since then. After 2 weeks, I decided that the owner was entirely too disorganized for me because for a whole week I would show up at my scheduled time and she would be no where to be found. So I respectfully informed her that I would no longer be working for her as i had found a more steady part-time job. She seemed genuinely happy for me and assured my check would be ready the following Friday. I have been calling, texting, emailing, and facebooking this woman ever since. I have not seen a dime. I am a struggling college student and I pay for my entire education out of my own pocket. She may not think this is a lot of money to worry about but to me it is a fortune. I worked roughly 30 hours all together and she never seems to have any money, or even a check book. What kind of business is this?! When I told her that I would procede to tell the entire world about my view of her poor business practices and about how she refuses to pay me the money I EARNED she told me it was "deformation of character" and that her lawyer wouldnt approve. Um... DEFAMATION of character is intentionally false information written or said to harm one's reputation. She harms her own "Christian" character by conducting business in the way she does. I will NOT give up until her debt is paid.

Also, I have witnessed, first hand, the way this woman speaks to clients. She is has gotten quite rude with a few of them over the phone with me in the room. I also had to make cold calls to many unhappy parents and churches inviting them to her classes. She avoided certain customers and had written on a few sign up sheets things like "UGLY BI*CH! DO NOT CALL". How very Christian of her.

All in all, I feel that she is very disorganized. And i believe her to be a liar. I absolutely refuse to recommend her services to any one I know. I WILL tell anyone I see thinking about using her services exactly what i think of her lack of business skills.

I brought my 7 year old daughter in for classes and she came back home and the next few days she started to itch and i took her to the doctor and it was an infection from dirty mats. Not only that shes very unorganized and she lied to me about her daughter was getting surgery and had to be hospitalized but yet two days later her daughter was there and looked fine.

She is also very rude to her customers and doesnt ever have change. Instead she went to her putse to get me change. This place is unsanitary añd the owner and her daughter are clueless and they claim they are christians but people of god dont cuss and be rude or talk behind peoples back. They lie to make others feel sorry for them.

Do not go to this place.

I wud much rather go pay top money somewhere else then have my child in that kind of enviroment. My daughter was also disappointed because one day she said that they didnt get to do anything because the owner was more concerned about her little daughters toys.

About ten weeks ago, I signed my daughter up for ballet classes at Baa da bing Family Center in Roanoke, VA. The week before her first class, I had stopped in their Oak Grove Location and inquired about the classes for three year olds. I was told by the owner's daughter that the next class would be the following Monday and there was no registration fee.

That Monday, I took my excited child to dance class, only to find out that Baa da bing was moving and class was canceled that day (This was the last week of January). The owner informed me that the Fire Marshall had condemned the "whole building" and they were being forced to move. She invited me to bring my daughter to class in their new location that evening. I was surprised that they had secured a new location so quickly and was doubtful that the Fire Marshall had condemned the building, given that the adjacent McDonald's, Aquatic Adventures, and Melody Makers were still open for business.

At any rate, we began attending class in their new location on Peters Creek Road. It was further away and a bit of an inconvenience, but my daughter was having fun. In the following weeks, I found that the owner was disorganized, created chaos within the classes that competent teachers were leading, and inconsistent in her business policies. For example:

-- though she only accepted cash, she never seemed to have change,

--when I asked if there was an option to pay in advance, she said she could give me a slip of paper as a "coupon" for future classes,

--she introduced a bouncy house into the classroom setting, causing complete chaos and inattention during the middle of the ballet class.

-- she told me no uniforms were necessary one day, then the next informed me that the teachers liked the students to wear ballet slippers (which I was more than willing to buy, given accurate and consistent information)

--she flip-flopped about an upcoming recital so many times that the teacher decided that she didn't want to work there anymore

-- she lied about her daughter having surgery just to appease a handful of irritated parents.

-- she yells and is rude to parents who complain

-- she encourages parents to stop bringing their kids to class if they don't like the way things are going.

-- she did not charge me a registration fee, but when I convinced a friend to bring her daughter, the owner did charge her.

All in all, the classes are only $5 each, but you get what you pay for. Just don't go there.

Each instructor brings their own equipment and they dont have any mats. They havent had gymnastics since Ms. Lisa went out for surgery months ago and she didn't have a mat either...

you are vengeful and trying to hurt this poor lady. Yes her daughter has gallbladder disease and 5 gallstones and health problems so get off her back. she is a business owner who helps people . you are a liar if you say you got something from a mat. there are no mats.
