My wife called this time, long hold again, but in the end actually got a human! We now had 2 issues, the same inability to log in and 2nd, they did not debit our autopay to pay the monthly bill for some reason and were showing our account overdue!! The Avmed person said they are having a problem running all the autopays and can we authorize a payment on the phone with him..
she said I needed to call member services, I called the number on my insurance card for member services already, regardless she said she would connect me but only put me back into the same never ending recorded loop.
I called back at the new no. she gave me, went thru the recording, whats your SSN, DOB, etc. etc., then selected the prompt "its something else". What happened next?
The Friggin computer hung up on me!!!! Unbelievable and no apparent way to reach them by email or anything.
The worst I have ever experienced!!!! DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!

I've been trying calling the Customer Care for assistance, for an urgent matter, but some numbers are not in service and the 800 x Members is simply ridiculously a scam, repeating there are 30/45 minutes waiting list after an hour and a half nothing changed.

My revision surgery will be covered but I still have no information regarding the coverage for prosthetic nipples. If they are covered I don't know how to get them paid for.

Preferred solution: Tell me what I need to do to get the prosthesis covered.
Impossible to get any live body on the phone
For 23 business days (so far) I have been trying to get any live body in AVMED's member services dept to answer the phone, and I wait "on hold" as long as 3 hours at a time and NEVER ONCE did any call go through. EVER!
This is miserably pathetic and absolutely unacceptable from a large insurance provider. Their annoying recorded nonsense about higher than normal call volumes blah blah blah that you hear non-stop during the entire wait time on the phone is ridiculous. NEVER does anyone answer the phone.
Their website does not give an option to submit a concern via email either. Customer NON-service must be their motto.

Poor customer service
i called a total of three different times and was on hold all three times for 35 plus minutes.... as i write this review I've been on hold a total of 3 plus hours, ( Im calling from a providers office) Cassandra came on for 1 minute and then put me on hold a for another 45 minutes and never returned!!!!!!!
I got on my cell phone and Called corporate , Cindy helped me and gave me some email addresses, and CAN YOUDONT NOT O BELIEVE IT COULDNT TRANSFER ME, so someone called me back and i was on hold both representatives i had SHOULD BE FIRED.
CASSANDRA NEVER RETURNED AND KRISTEN ACTED LIKE OH WELL, TOO BAD SO SAD..... THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL.
Preferred solution: FIRE CASSANDRA AND KRISTEN AND GET DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS.
