Taxes incorrect

My husband and I bought a new Subaru Crosstrek from Autonation Subaru Arapahoe. The sales person Daniel was great how ever the finance person was not, Carrie Hesseltine did our paperwork. We just received a letter saying she figured our taxes incorrectly and we now owe close to $2,000 more in order to register our car and get our plates. When we were in the office with Carrie we started the signing process and then she said "wait a minute the taxes are wrong let me fix them" she then reran the paperwork and it lowered our monthly payment by about $20 which I was very happy about and was then comfortable getting the extended warranty. The only thing they have offered to do to fix this is redo all of the paperwork to incorporate the taxes into our monthly payments. My husband and I travel extensively for work and do not have the time to go to the dealership and do this. Nor do we want our credit ran again. I worked in the car industry for many years and when a problem like this occurred we did everything to make things alright for our customer and usually took care of any cost when it was the dealerships error. I guess Subaru does not see things the same way. I have bought many cars over the years and have never experienced anything like this. Unfortunately it was me that insisted on getting a Subaru and now feel like that was a mistake.
