- Sales/warranty info not received; car needed repair 2 months after purchase; rental charges ongoing; communication issues.
Did not receive sales or warranty info. Car needed repair 2 months after purchase.
Took 4 individuals to get me what I needed 2 days later. Service appt was canceled, no reason. Car trim flew off, EPC and engine light on. Brakes squealing for 2 weeks, replacing them.
Incompetent, unprofessional communication, disgusted by ignorance. I have been paying for a rental car for 3 weeks.
- No accountability
- Laziness
- Ignorance
Preferred solution: Full refund
Taxes incorrect
- Taxes were calculated incorrectly, adding about $2,000 to registration.
- The offered fix is to redo paperwork to include taxes in monthly payments.
My husband and I bought a new Subaru Crosstrek from Autonation Subaru Arapahoe. The sales person Daniel was great how ever the finance person was not, Carrie Hesseltine did our paperwork.
We just received a letter saying she figured our taxes incorrectly and we now owe close to $2,000 more in order to register our car and get our plates. When we were in the office with Carrie we started the signing process and then she said "wait a minute the taxes are wrong let me fix them" she then reran the paperwork and it lowered our monthly payment by about $20 which I was very happy about and was then comfortable getting the extended warranty.
The only thing they have offered to do to fix this is redo all of the paperwork to incorporate the taxes into our monthly payments. My husband and I travel extensively for work and do not have the time to go to the dealership and do this. Nor do we want our credit ran again.
I worked in the car industry for many years and when a problem like this occurred we did everything to make things alright for our customer and usually took care of any cost when it was the dealerships error.
I guess Subaru does not see things the same way.
I have bought many cars over the years and have never experienced anything like this. Unfortunately it was me that insisted on getting a Subaru and now feel like that was a mistake.

Preferred solution: In my opinion the dealership should be responsible for the additional taxes.
