Masks Coronavirus, Pandemic

AI Highlights
  • - Several AutoNation employees did not wear masks or wore them improperly.
  • - -They want masks mandatory for employees around customers per CDC guidance.

We were in the White Bear Lake AutoNation yesterday and several of your Employee's we had contact with or near did not have masks on, or they were wearing them under their chin or just over their mouth. The quick lane person we worked with had his mask on and many others also had their masks on, too many did not wear masks, We don't understand why it is not mandatory with it being pandemic and people are losing their lives from Coronavirus every day.

It should be mandatory for all your employees when they are working around customers or each other to protect themselves and each other and Customers from this horrible Disease. On your Website it says how you are following the Guidelines but it does not say that you recommend customers or employee's to wear masks this is concerning. We have been customers for 25 Years and have always had good to great service at times there has been a few minor issues but always taken care of. We would hope that during this nationwide pandemic you would make it mandatory for your employee's to wear masks unless it is a medical issue.

We hope that you will bring this to the Attention of the staff t the White Bear Lake Store so that they take this Pandemic and Coronavirus serious, so we can stop the spread of Coronavirus and this devastating disease that has killed so many people and family members have to go on without them : ( The only we way we will get through this is working together to protect each other by wearing masks that the CDC Recommends. Kind Regards, Concerned Customers.

Preferred solution: Please wear masks to stop the spread of Cornavirus

Shady Service

AI Highlights
  • - Over $5,000 estimate, mainly for the clutch.
  • - Water pump leak $900; I refused; bill $1,500+.
  • - 3 years later no overheating; clutch poor;40 mpg.

2012 Fiesta. 3 years ago I brought my car in for service.

As it turned out I was given an estimate of over 5K in repairs, The bulk of that 5k was for the *** clutch the 2012 was famous for (3 times worked on under warranty). The next biggest cost was for a water pump the technician said was leaking $900 to replace. I refused replacing the water pump and the clutch replacement but still had a repair bill of $1500 +. Now 3 years later I still have the same water pump they said was bad and no overheating problems.

The clutch still sucks but I still get 40 miles a gallon.

It all makes me wonder how much of that 1500 i did spend was needed. Worst service experience ever.

Loss:
$1500
Pros:
  • Good selection of cars
Cons:
  • Bad and shady service practice

Preferred solution: Apology

User's recommendation: Stay away from Autonation.

Why bother Ford does not care

AI Highlights
  • - Received recall notices for a 2011 Ford F-150.
  • - The dealer advised ignoring recalls and did not schedule service, and brakes later failed.

November 21, 2018

To whom it may concern.

Received a second IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE on my 2011 Ford F150 and contacted AUTO NATION I White Bear Lake the Dealership where I purchased my truck from about this notice.

The first time I received this notice I was told by the service department that it had to do with a break issue and that records indicated I had the break issue

Taken care of and to disregard the notice.

When I tried to give the Campaign number to the service department they did not want it , again said it was a break issue and that their records indicated it was taken care of end of story.

Today I contacted AUTO NATION again, gave them the campaign number and was told to disregard the recall notice and to only contact them if an engine/service light turns on. They did not wish to schedule an appointment to bring it in.

This is not the first time I have been told by the AUTO NATION service department to disregard a recall notice.

The first time was when I received a notice for potential break failure.

When I contacted them about it they told me to disregard it unless I have an issue.

Two weeks later I almost went thru my garage door because the brakes failed.

When I contacted them about this they told me not to drive my truck until they corrected the problem.

I guess the only way the service department will look at a recall notice is after something happens.

Needless to say I am sorry I purchased a Ford truck and will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership.

I would like to discuss the many problems I have had at this dealership but I know no one cares.
