Verified Reviewer | Frisco, TexasDishonest dealership ripped me off
In July of 2022, I was in need of a minivan and was having a hard time finding one due to low inventory of used vehicles. I searched online and every time I found one and contacted the selling dealership, it was already sold.
I found a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus listed on the Autonation Ford Frisco website and contacted them and planned to go out the next day to see the vehicle. About an hour and a half before they closed (I live 45 minutes away from there), the sales rep called me and said that they had an influx of inquiries and if I was interested, I needed to come out that evening and start the paperwork to purchase so that they could remove it from the website and turn other potential buyers away (the vehicle was not yet in their possession due to being at a sister dealership for a repair). I was desperate, it was a mistake, but I did it.
I went back the next day to take delivery. The vehicle was later than expected to arrive.
I was given the keys, did not receive any sort of walk around or instruction and the sales rep disappeared.
I could go one for ever with details of what has happened over the last 18 months. Here are the highlights:
*was told I was purchasing a comprehensive warranty/turns out it was a very limited high mileage power train only warranty. Paperwork shows that covered components are subject to deductible and warranty covers the rest. Upon warranty use, I found out that it only covers about 50% not including deductible.
*advertised features on vehicle did not work (heated seats & steering wheel)
*rear climate control did not work correctly (barely blew air, even on high, but was correct temperature)
*dead battery in a week
*electrical problems (tons!)
*transmission needed update after owning only a couple of months (not covered under any warranty)
*FAULTY ENGINE
The vehicle they sold me: I have only been able to drive it for 8 of the 18 months that Ive owned it.
Its been towed to dealerships 3 times and now, its been dead at my house since June 2023 (it is March 2024). A couple of weeks ago, I towed it to a mechanic and spent $3K to get it running, but 5 miles after leaving, the engine began misfiring for the 3rd time!
I feel that the dealership, at the time of sell, took advantage of the fact that Im a single mom and took the opportunity to offload a junk vehicle on a desperate single mom. Doing my research after the fact, Im finding much evidence that the issues Im having are extremely common in this vehicle. I was charged for features that never worked (cut wires to the mechanism that supplies heated seats/steering).
The issue that was getting fixed the day I took delivery (issue with sliding door) are still presenting. There are a ton of electrical fault codes reading upon diagnostic.
They charged me an astronomical price for the vehicle and the warranty. I am $12K upside down in the loan (never missed or deferred a payment), I have to carry full coverage insurance on it or face repossession hurting my credit.. I cannot even drive the thing!
Im now being told that likely repairs to the vehicle are going to be upwards of $15K.
That is 150% of the value of the vehicle (KBB values at $10K).
Stay away from this dealership. Yes I contacted them, dozens of times, with no response from anyone.

Verified Reviewer | Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaSold a complete lemmon after not preforming 40 point inspection
I was completely blinded by the unprofessionalism and cut throat tactics of AutoNation Ford of Frisco. They sold a car with preexisting transmission problems and except getting the problem addressed they sold the car anyway.
The car was sold with a bad trans, heater hose, cracked windshield and hole in the seat after I was up sold the car because they didnt have the truck i paid for.
I had already paid and signed paperwork for a Tahoe, it came with a a bad battery and starter issues. If you are black dont ever go there.these people especially the GSM are conn artist and she is a disrespect excuse for a Gm who has a excuse for everything and a reason why nobody did their jobs
- Terrible customer service
- Bad attitudes

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with settlement agreement.
Worked out in the end
The service advisor Hayden and service manager Hawk both went out of their way to make sure my warranty repairs on my 2013 F-150 were done correctly....

2016 Ford F-150
My 2016 Ford F-150 has less than 20k miles on it, which we purchased in 2017. In May 2019 we noticed blue smoke coming out of the exhaust upon start up.
We took it to the dealership and they determined the engine heads would need replaced. They had our truck for 4 days only to call me and tell me the parts are backed order until June 6th. We planned a family vacation which we planned to use the truck to drive the 20 hours; however, due to the engine issue we did not trust the truck for that distance. We then received a call that the parts had been pushed to July 17th and now the Ford Customer Care is reporting it is July 31st.
Meanwhile, our truck sits in the driveway as we do not want to further damage it.
This is ridiculous and Ford should be ashamed of themselves. We have been loyal Ford customers but after this I will be rethinking that loyalty.
