Stay away from the Ohio Attorney General. They are not your friends and will spend the first day checking YOU out ; not the vendor.
They will search your entire life from Day-1 for missed tax filings, monies "owed" to the state of Ohio, other states, and the Federal Government. They will then contact your county to verify that all real estate taxes and other levies are paid in full and up to date. Your criminal record will be thoroughly scoured from all 50 states. Then comes next year's tax audit.
And the year after.
They are nothing but the state collection agency and would be pleased as punch to send you a bill with interest and penalties or slap a lien against your property. Consider them as you would an approaching immortal vampire.
I’m guessing you owed the various governmental agencies a lot of money, I mean why would any of that be a concern if you were fully paid up on what you owed??
