Automobile Protection Association APA
Complete waste of time and money
- Paid $80 for APA service and told not to pay over 17,500 for a Honda Civic.
- After days calling dealers within 100 km, no deal; bought locally.
Being a single mother I signed on to the Automobile Protection Association (For $80) to make sure I didn't get overcharged at the dealer. They told me I should pay no more than 17,500 for the Honda Civic I was interested in.
After I called every dealer within 100 kms I realized I had been scammed. Some dealers laughed at me when I made the offer and a total of 4 dealers advised me at that price if they did the deal they would lose $2000. After 3 solid days of calling I had made no deal. I paid $80 for the Automobile protection association's "service", what a mistake.
In the end I just went to a local dealer and bought my car. This company is making dealers out to be crooks, Automobile Protection Association are the crooks, ripping people off $80 at a time.
