Verified ReviewerBreach Of Contract
- - I paid $3,400 in full for Auto and Home.
- - Original quote was $3,200; binding contract for $3,400 issued.
- - There are $600 past-due statements.
Waiting for Refund.
Accepted and paid in full Auto and Home Insurance $3,400. Original quote from original Agent, which I accepted was $3,200.
Another Agent then mucked around with the account causing me problems. I then dealt with a Retention Agent who issued a Binding Contract for Auto and Home, which I paid in full ($3,400). Since then I continue to receive Past Due Statements for an EXTRA $600. I wrote to the CEO supplying all the evidentiary documents (the Binding Contract for $3,400, Confirming emails with the Retention Agent, and Bank Statement showing Full Payment).
Further correspondence has not resolved my situation; I asked they honor the Original Quote and Coverage Limits for $3,200.
I am a first time user of AAA et al and am amazed at their Breach Of Contract and completely ignoring the facts. The CEO office is indifferent.
User's recommendation: Get everything in writing and confirmed!!
Auto Club of America is not a good choice
- - Bought Auto Club membership ~3 weeks ago.
- - Ran out of gas 2 miles from home; driver demanded payment.
- - Driver refused gas; I had $10 checks and walked.
About 3 weeks ago I purchased an auot club membership from Auto Club of America. I later on called for help when I ran out of gas about 2 miles from home.
They sent a very unprofessional guy with homemade lettering on his truck to deliver gas to me. He said he could not give the gas till I paid him. I explained that I just had personal checks and he refused them for just $10 of gas. So, I had to walk 2 miles to a friends house to get help.
I emailed the auto club and told them this was bad service and wanted a complete refund. Did not hear back from them so I contacted the Better Business Bureau. Then the auto club tells the BBB that the delivery guy gave me a ride to my house which was not true.
Very bad business practice. The auto club cancelled my membership but without an apology or refund.
- Poor customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund
Very poor auto club

- - They sent a driver for gas who wanted $10 and refused my check; I asked for a refund and heard nothing.
About 2 weeks ago I bought a membership with Auto Club Of America. After a week I ran out of gas about 1 and 1/2 miles from home.
I called the auto club and they sent a guy in a pick up truck with a can of gas that he wanted $10 for before filling my tank. I told him all I had was a check and he refused it. So, I had to walk into town and get a friends help.
I emailed the CEO of the motorclub and have not heard back. I asked for a refund of my worthless membership.
- Poor service
Preferred solution: Full refund
