I am warning all current and perspective users to !!!!!! S T A Y A W A Y !!!!!! from this tanning company. I was totally ripped off by them. My “certified tanning specialist” (which is a joke ) completely lied to me about what I was signing up for. She told me I could simply cancel my contract whenever and didn’t explain all of the hidden fees. I tried to cancel my 6 month membership multiple times and they explained they can’t cancel my contract and if it was less than my agreement, I had to speak with the corporate office which is only open during my work and school day. THIS IS 2013- what kind of business does not allow customers to manage their accounts online or by sales rep??? Anyways, I reluctantly paid $60/ month for 6 months totaling $360. And was beyond relieved when the 6 months were over. Turns out they continued charging me past my 6 month agreement, saying this was the “minimum term” and I had to opt out of my membership in writing. This was NEVER explained to me by my tanning specialists, not once in all the times I tried to cancel my membership. Of course, I found this out on a Saturday and “corporate” was not open til the following Monday. I asked for a refund due to the fact that their company failed to properly explain the terms of my contract. I spoke with Brooke Shrull who said that I would receive 2 free months of tanning for the months I had unknowingly paid for. I told her I would still like to speak with her supervisor on getting a refund, and Brooke told me her manager, Jenna, would call me back. Jenna did not call me back that day, which I find very unprofessional considering this is a financial issue that I need resolved. She called me back a day and a half later and left a message. I was traveling home for Thanksgiving and couldn’t return the call. The office was closed for the Holidays and I intended to speak with Jenna Monday about what had happened. And then…… THEY CHARGED ME FOR YET ANOTHER MONTH!!!!!! At this point I am outraged. Not only did I verbally express my intent to cancel, but you offered me 2 free months!!!! Why would I pay for another month if I was getting the month for free? I called and spoke with Brooke yet again who gave me a moronic response that the free tanning would go into effect AFTER my cancellation. This makes absolutely no sense. Yet again, I asked to speak with her manager and Brooke said she would call me back. It has been 26 hours and STILL no call back from the manager. THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!! I URGE YOU TO STAY AWAY. GO TO OTHER, MORE REPUTABLE TANNING SALONS. DON’T LET THIS BUSINESS SCAM YOU HOW THEY HAVE SCAMMED ME OUT OF $600.
