I almost got kill by Chrysler Town and Country

I almost got kill by Chrysler Town and Country I have the 2010 Chrysler Town and Country van. It is still under the 5 years and 100,000km. It is currently at 97500km. I have transmissions problems and lost all power 3x within the past 3 months. Over the past month, I took the van to Aurora Chrysler on 3 separates occassions for repairs and have had to take 2.5 days off work. Aurora Chrysler refused to replace the transmission problems for me. My first time there, they charged the $115 + tax for the diagnosed codes, they wanted to charge addtional of ~ $500 for labour to take a look at the intake, etc. I refused to pay for this amount and took it to my mechanic where he replaced the #3 misfile and further advised that the van has transmission problems and tell me to bring it back to Chrsyler to replace as it is still under warantee. There were lots of transmission codes were popping up for the transmission problems. It has bad mileage, speed fluctuates while driving, does not pick up speed after I stopped, clunked/ noisy sound, geared shift not smoothly and very loud sound, gears does not shift up and down, etc. I came back to Aurora Chryler again for 2 more occasions, they refused to replace the transmission for me and just reset / cleared all the transmissions codes and told me to take my van home. They are trying to let me "ride" out my mileage so that I won't be able to replace the transmission under my warrantee anymore. It was useless even when I was able to speak to their service manager. The Town and Country has further problems with loosing all the power while I was driving. It happened 3 x within the past 3 months. It was a scary experiences as my kids were in the van with me. Since then, I am scared to drive highway, as I could not imagine impact of other cars on the highway smashing into my van if the van looses power again. I searched the recalls lists and noticed that it was listed under the NHTSA stating that vehicles manufacture from Aug 3, 2009 through June 17, 2010, some vehicles may experience inadvertent ignition key displacment from the run to accessory position while driving causing the engine to shut off. My van was manufactured in this period. I called the Chrysler head office and they said that it is not currently listed under recalls. I would not recommend anyone to buy the Town and Country again, unless you are prepare to risk your life. Chelsea H
