Audacity slows down and fails to open files
- - Audacity is slow and crashes, with long delays for edits.
- - Cannot open an AUP file and sees a read error from C:.
Audacity was working fine until about 5 days ago. It started to get slow, and it crashed at least twice.
When I'm editing a sound clip, I can hit a command, and it takes about 20 seconds or more for the command to happen. I have an AUP file--Nervous 2.0 Final A--that I'd like to complete, but it won't open.
I get a message that reads: Audacity failed to read from a file in C:. Either I need an updated version of Audacity, or I need Audacity's IT staff to fix my problem--or both.

Good, But Not Great
Help Instructions ARE NOT Necessarily Correct. Example: "Step By *** Using Export Multiple" : Re: Step 3. My App does does have the option indicated, i.e., Under File>Export there is no "Export Mutiple" so I can't go further.

Because it sucks. And customer service? Is none.
It was supposed to be free. Somehow my account that I don't use ever.
Don't know how to use and tried deleting it from my computer, which I did. Found out I was getting charged $18 a month for about 6 months for something I didn't want or use.
And was unable to find a customer service number to contact anyone to help me out. Garbage!!!
- It sucks and steals your money when it says its free

I did not understand the app's function. Actually, I don't recall ordering it.
The issue has not been resolved. I have requested a refund. I have received emails but no response yet.

Timeline moves
I used to love Audacity, now I hate it. Trying to do a simple cut edit on the timeline, every time I click the cursor to define an area, the timeline shifts and highlights something I didn't choose - wtf??? Audacity used to be a wonderful simple straightforward editing tool and was my preferred audio editing program.

Errors on tags
you have errors on tags when i exported multiple files mp3. You know about this problem, but the problem persists on new upgrades.

Disatisfied with Audacity

Files saving to PhotoShop
- - Audacity now saves directly to Photoshop, not to my preferred location.

The last couple of months Audacity (which I've used for many years) is saving directly and only to Photoshop--not where I want my files. I am using Windows 11 and have the most current version of Audacity installed.

- - Analyze is greyed out; Diagnostics show errors like failed to load shared library.
I have successfully recorded with audacity for over 6 years. However, every time I press record lately, nothing happens.
I am a very basic user. I wish there was phone help. I hit "Analyze" and everything is greyed out. I did update, but that did not improve anything.
When I hit Help- Disagnostics- Log- approximately 28 Errors show up - failed to load shared library... whatever that means.

LOST PROJECT FILES
Used Audacity for years w/o issues UNTIL NOW - neither 3.6.1 nor 3.6.2 will retain project files for > 24 hours, neither will allow a back uo project file to be made; it's now UNUSABLE!
