I'm so glad that someone else got scammed by this lawyer and has reported it on the world wide web. There are no words to describe the destruction this Joan Salwen in Scarsdale NY has done to families in Westchester.
She is careless, mean, low, stupid, and heartless. She sleeps well taking children away from their loving parents. She is a low life. This is what she does in life.
Representing children and then does not really listen to the child. For her this is a game and she is paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for it.

Joan Salwen is a predator, STAY AWAY from this slime bucket. She practices, errrr, "law" from the basement of her HOUSE.
That's who you getting. She does not even have the money to have a REAL office, she's too cheap to rent one. I agree with the other reviews that she tawks like a a chicken, "yo awnnerrrr (Your honor)", and she lies and exaggerates in front of the judge about things she calls facts which are not facts, they are up in that bucket of slime she calls her head.
She will talk about an issue wihtout knowing any of hte facts, just a big, stupid blabbermouth. There are much better lawyers out there, you don't need this garbage can of chicken brains.

The above review is total nonsense. I retained Ms.
Salwen in 2010 for a very messy child custody and frivolous claims against me by ex wife of child abuse and neglect. My ex wife attempted to have a protection order placed against me from Virginia in the NY courts. Joan had all complaints and issues completely dismissed in court. Joan is a hard charging attorney who is well recognized throughout the Westchester courts as a fighter for her clients.
It sounds as if this persons review is based on the feelings of the outcome of their hearing.
All an attorney does is present the facts of the case. Maybe your opponent just had better facts.
