- - Paid $6,030.24 for a quiet home.
- - Basement unit had no soundproofing and loud noise.
- - There was no relocation offered.
I am posting this to strongly warn others about Attache Corporate Housing in Washington, DC. My family and I paid $6,030.24 after seeing photos and descriptions of what was advertised as a quiet, private residential house.
However, when we arrived, we discovered that the unit was actually located in the basement of the property owners housea space that had originally been a storage room converted into a rental unit. This critical information was never disclosed before we signed the lease.
From the first day, the unit was uninhabitable. A mechanical room was positioned directly beside the bed, producing sudden and extreme noise levels over 70 decibels, even when the HVAC was off. We could also hear the homeowners private conversations, phone calls, and piano playing through the ceiling.
There was no soundproofing at all, and the environment made normal rest, privacy, and living impossible.
We notified Attache Corporate Housing repeatedly via emails, service requests, and text messages. For 16 days, they offered no real helponly vague replies such as we are discussing internally, with no inspection, no relocation, and no meaningful plan.
When we finally informed them that we were forced to leave due to constructive eviction, they hurriedly taped a few black foam pieces on the mechanical room door and floor, claiming it was a soundproof panel installation. It had absolutely no effect. We asked for relocation assistance to another unit, but they never contacted us within the timeframe we requested and failed to make any sincere effort to help.
We had no choice but to leave and secure temporary lodging on our own.
Attache only mentioned an alternative unit after we had already moved out, when trust was completely broken. By then, we no longer believed they would honor any part of the contract.
What makes this situation even worse is how Attache responded during my credit card dispute with Bank of America. They submitted false claims in writing, stating that they provided us with a white noise machine, that a refund had already been issued, and that we stayed in an alternative unitall of which are completely untrue. This behavior shows a serious lack of honesty and integrity.
Even in response to my Google review, Attache posted misleading claims, stating that a senior diplomat had lived happily in the unit for nine months and extended their stay.
This is entirely false. We were the first tenants, and we vacated the unit in June 2025 after only a few weeks due to the uninhabitable conditions.
This is not a case of dissatisfaction. This is about false advertising, structural defects, failure to provide essential services, and complete refusal of accountability.
My goal in posting this is to protect other consumers and families from experiencing the same harm. If you are considering corporate housing in Washington, DC, I strongly urge you to verify every detail in writing and be extremely cautious with Attache Corporate Housing.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: I strongly advise you to avoid this company
