I have Pre travel inquires to stay at the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas, 4/2024.
The current travel warnings are advising travelers to use caution for traveling to the Bahamas. Only because of these warnings, have I become fearful for me and my family; reached a decision and tried to cancel our upcoming vacation. However, incurring cost due to the non-refundable "ticket" policy has lead to this email. Exigent circumstances, beyond the consumer's control, should not fall upon the consumer.
The warnings are meant to protect consumers allowing for a reasonable decision to be made for their safety. Yet, Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas non-refundable ticket policy, after we have saved long and hard for this family vacation, losing $767 dollars is not in our budget. The exigent circumstances coming directly from U.S. Embassy Bahamas and U.S.
Department of State should over-ride this policy. Yet, not being able to afford to simply throw away $767.00, I have found myself between a rock and a hard place, forced to take vacation to an environment to which I will be afraid.
