I was going through the checkout and...

AI Highlights
  • - Yarmouth Superstore, May 4, 7 pm: a bagger handled three customers' items.
  • - The bagger left after one item, and Katie rang the next.

I was going through the checkout and one empty was ringing up the items and another employee was bagging. I watched them do this for the 3 people in front of me.

When it was my turn the employee who was bagging put one item in my bag and left. The cashier ( Katie) was already ringing in the next customer. When I asked her why my groceries were t being bagged she replied she left and then contacted to ring in and start bagging the grocery of the person who was behind me. When o said do I have to pack my own bags she just started at me and continued packing the groceries for the person next in line while I packed my own.

I do t mind packing my own groceries if I have to but this left a very bad taste in my mouth as she completely excluded me while packing everything else for all the other customers.

The girl who was originally packing was on the self checkout helping another employer help one customer. This occurred at the superstore in Yarmouth at 7 pm on May 4.

Poor customer service

AI Highlights
  • - Tried to pay for roses with Canadian currency; only cards were accepted.
  • - Left embarrassed; Sobey's later accepted the currency with a smile.

Yesterday February 14 2024 , i made the absolute wrong choice of attempting to purchase a dozen red roses from oromocto Atlantic super store which i had done for many special occasions threw out the passing years.. at first i was reluctant because of hardship in my relationship, but decided it was the right choice.

After choosing and waiting in line with many other customers it was my turn to purchase said roses.. i placed them on counter to be wraped by one attendant an proceed to pay to another attendant. When i produced paper legal canadain currency i was informed that it was not excepted that only credit card or banking card was to be excepted... my exact words were ( this is canada, not sum messy third world country and legal canadain currency is to be excepted) ..

now feeling very disappointed and embarrassed the attendants response was(really)..

my response was (yes really,, keep your roses) an i left the store feeling embarrassed, an as a customer poorly treated... Needless to say sobey's excepted my legal canadain currency with a smile...

Original review Aug 16, 2023

I bought a pack of oranges yesterday evening from Atlantic Superstore in Bridgewater. When I went home and wanted to put them in fridge I found 2-3 oranges were rotten.

I was so disappointed. I live 45 minutes away from the store so did not go back to return. But the oranges were around 10$ for a pack and it is expensive and then after seeing rotten oranges I got so sad.

I dont know how you want to deal with this. I even clicked a picture of the rotten ones.
