AI Highlights
  • - Airbag lights flash and the car stalls; dealer blamed the computer.
  • - Salesperson and a manager promised a replacement; now it won’t.

Bought a car from Atlantic Chevrolet in Bayshore NY. I have had the car for three days, airbags lights keep flashing car stalls lights flash on their own I was told it was the computer and they were going to replace my car, my car was pickedup from my job I was told they were going to replace my car by the sales person and a manager, my iPod touch and Oakley sunglasses were stolen out of my center consul .

Then I was told that they want to fix the car and it won't be replaced its only three day old. Now I'm stuck with a loan car till its fixed. I told them I was concerned for my clildrens saftey in this car and they could care less. If any of my children get hurt or killed because of a car that is clearly messed up, god help the people that sold me the car, because I will not rest till they suffer as much as my child did.

Never buy a car from this dealer rotten to the core.

Lies, cheats, thieves and dishonest. Please replace my car.

Just curious why, if they were going to replace the car, you didn't take your personal belongings out when they picked it up?

Not very honest

AI Highlights
  • - April 2011: visited Atlantic Chevrolet Bayshore to shop for a Corvette.
  • - They claimed a transfer and deposit but could not deliver or honor the price.

i went to atlantic chevy in bayshore in april 2011 to shop for a new corvette.I had a certain color and options in mind.they did not have a car in stock similar to what i wanted.

the first lie was that they did an internet dealer search and found the exact car that i was looking for and that it woud be no problem to get the car from the other out of state dealer by swapping cars with them and i had to give them a good faith deposit, which i did,and put it on my credit card.

A few days later they told me that they could not get the car from the other dealer.I was annoyed that they took my deposit under the pretense that they were 100 percent positive that they could get the car.

They next suggested that i order a car from the factory.Although I really did not want to wait for a car to be built,I deceided to order the car.

A few days later,in a conversation with one of the managers,he informed me that they could not honor the price that they had given me on the car.at that point i told them that i was not going to buy a car from them and wanted my deposit back.

I was given a number to call and when i called i got an answering machine, which has been mentioned by other people on this site.I called my credit card company and disputed the charge and then my deposit was refunded.

just as an aside,I bought the car they had found online from the dealer in Maryland that had the car and they told me that they were contacted by Atlantic chevrolet but would not do business with them because they dont trust them.
