Please stay away. Toyota’s is a great car. Just pay cash for it.

The finance department and people working there are a joke.

Was told when I was buying my car off lease ( Toyota forces you to buy from dealer you got the car)

That unless I was lying cash or had my own financing I couldn’t purchase the car without an extended warranty.

Which I think might be illegal.

I think I will let the ny attorney general answer that one for me

Had an appointment but I guess that doesn’t matter as I was forced to wait 52 minutes after my appointment time

Overall a horrible experience

Stay away from this dealership

Nightmare

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had a contract with an agency as a temp for 15 days. Their payroll is processed through Giant.

Giant are doing everything they can, to avoid paying my earned wages. First, I had problems with their portal and had to create a second login. Secondly, they changed the timesheets, but did not tell me I had to enter timesheets both at Sonovate and at their portal. Then, they tell me the agency has not paid my wages (which was untrue, the Sonovate portal said everything had been paid).

After that, they are saying that they have not received the remittance (again untrue as I had the remittance from Sonovate and the agency send me the email they sent them).

Now, they are telling me that the remittance has been sent into an old e-mail account (which if they know that, means they have the remittance...) They are finding excuses to avoid paying me, and to make me request an advance and pay 35 pounds for administrative fees! They are a nightmare to deal with.

Be careful of erroneous Giant Accounting and agressive legal practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am writing this to warn future employees about Giant's accounting and legal practices. Giant initially overpaid myself by 900 pounds, part of which has already undergone tax deduction by HMRC and is non recoverable ( estimated to be 360 pounds).

Giant insisted that I pay the full 900 pounds even though I did not receive the full 900 pounds which is a pre-tax deduction figure and threatened legal action if I do not. I then spoke to HMRC and they said they could provide a rebate provided Giant supplied a document known as Early Year adjustment and indicate the amount of overpaid taxation in the adjustment section of the self assessment. Giant refused to provide that figure, saying that it is not their responsibility, even after I have fully paid them the 900 pounds. They then did not answer my calls although they said they would follow up.

I could not speak to the people in accounts and payroll, and instead they send non-accounts people to push me away, each time telling me a different story. Similar to other blog members here, I am of the impression that Giant adopts bullying legal tactics and has poor if not non-existent complaints procedure. There is simply no complaints department, it goes from the front-liners straight to the manager, with nothing written down, nothing recorded.

I even later discovered that my previous calls were not logged on their system. I have consequently lost money by having Giant group as my umbrella company.

Giant Group Work Experience Review from London, London

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

If I could give minus points I would.

They single handedly managed to screw up my pay for 4 weeks running, blaming my agency for not paying on time when In fact they were just late paying me.

Then because they'd screwed up my pay so much they managed to put me in further financial distress by somehow getting me taxed at a higher rate because HRMC couldn't work out how often i was working or how many hours. I was lucky to bring home 450 out of an 800 weekly pay cheque. They supposedly offset my expenses to increase my take home but I saw no evidence of this. They're supposedly dedicated support officers don't have direct phone numbers as you'll soon find out as when you call the number, it's pot luck who answers the phone which of course means a huge amount of repeating yourself which is annoying.

They won't pass you onto a manager and they won't give you a direct email to email anyone to complain as they insist on you using their *** portal. Glad to be shot of them

Selling dreams

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They kept telling me: oh just save your receipt of your lunch and fuel and take a picture of it and submit it and you will get your travel expenses back.

Total ***...first 2 weeks of my work i had £5 lunch every day and at the end a fuel receipt of £45. When i tried to submit my fuel receipt it got rejected because i had to ask specifically for a VAT receipt. (They told me a normal receipt will do) So i paid my own travel expenses..no big deal..just didn't expect that, but then all my £5 lunch receipts get rejected! why??

Because i did not have a valid travel receipt (Fuel receipt) they see this as "person did not go to work" so you can't claim your lunch. I got very annoyed and upset cuz they promised money back and they didn't! so in 2 weeks i lost £95 because they were not clear on how their rules work. So from now on i'll pack my lunch cuz they are full of ***, promising things that they cant make true!

Was only able to submit 1 fuel receipt with their calculated mileage (That was also wrong!!) For 1 week because i couldn't claim it as 1 month :S. They only accept receipts from monday-friday, anything before that is useless!

Be careful for this umbrella company they are misleading and promising all this beautiful stuff. Like get travel expenses back and lunch money while they don't tell you the whole story. Same goes for their discount at supermarkets...it's only with online purchases (mostly) or sometimes 1% discount. (never more than 10%) Or with cashback and atleast +£50 purchases first!

Waiting for collection of judgement on court case I won

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Waiting on collection of judgement from audi dealer. I won a small claims court case against the dealer on 07/23/2014; case number #003228.

Car was improperly diagnosed/repaired by the same people who worked from previous dealer (Anchor Audi). Mike Dolce and Joe Maruca the service managers at the time had spoke with their superiors and they would not service the car again after 4 pervious failed attempts and misdiagnosis. They left me to find the problem myself with all the stress and aggravation. Not to mention the time and money lost from work.

Thank god I found the problem myself. Any later and I may have seized my engine. I have made several attempts to collect judgment that I won in court. Joe Maruca even stated he lost and I won and that if he could go back he would of just fixed the car!

(Thats all I ever wanted from the beginning). I have handled this in a respectful and professional way and they still are trying to give me the run around. After all expenses I have spent more than $4000 trying to get the car diagnosed and repaired. My settlement I won was ONLY FOR $2833.80.

I have gone to see Joe Maruca who has now been transfered to another dealership but still within the New York Auto Giant dealer group. He has given me nothing but the run around and smirk and at most a shrug of his shoulders as if to say sucks for you. The sad thing is I would still recommend Audi to anybody else that is interested. I have many friends and family that have bought cars from this dealer as well as other dealers in the NYAG.

I have endless referrals that I continue to send to Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai and Audi dealers whom are all part of the NY Auto Giant. All I am asking for them to do is do the right thing and rectify their mistake and mishandling of the situation. Basically TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! I don't know where else to go from here but if need be I will take whatever further action necessary to let people know how they treat their customers.

I know alot of people and I will make it my business to let them know not to buy or service their cars from any dealer in the NYAG ever again. I EXPECT a response as soon as possible as I have already made email, phone and in person attempts to all managerial staff with no regard to my situation.

Terrible

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

No payment received without any contact. I contacted them numerous times with the promise of a call back, however did not ever on one occasion receive a call back.

They delayed payment, and made the mistake of sending emails to the wrong agency who i was working with, therefore did not pay me, they lie about all promises they give. DO NOT GO WITH GIANT! You will waste time on the phone and the employees do not help even though they promise they have sorted the problem.

In other words just avoid them at all costs! I dont have any idea how they managed to win an award for customer service.

I did not get my Gap Pay or expenses

I am a lecturer teaching in college. I was offered employment by an agency and this agency referred me to Giant Group to handle my payments etc.

I am entitled to gap pay. In case I was not offered work for a week, I am entitled to 7 hours of gap pay. Giant said they will not pay me Gap Pay because I did not submit time sheet on the weeks I was not working. Isn't it weird that you are supposed to submit a time sheet when you are not working ? I lost my gap pay for weeks because I did not submit timesheets while I was not working.

I did not know that I have to submit a timesheet even without being in employment. Anyway, I wrote to them trying to resolve it at no avail so far.

Another thing I noticed is that they guarantee to pay you at least 336 hours per year even if you did not work all these hours. Giant terminated my employment 11 months after employment. I am not sure if they deliberately did this to avoid paying these hours.

Be very careful and read the fine print. If in doubt write to them, they are very prompt and polite in their responses to be fair.

I also tried to claim oyster payments but they did not let me claim them as expenses.

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid - Battery Won't Charge

The battery never charges above 50% and typically hovers around 40%.

The dealership after admitting ignorance stated that I need to drive it more. Apparently 90 minutes a day is not enough. They state that's a typical drive to a mall these days and I need to take road trips. A salesman stated that I have not driven it enough yet even though I'm closing on 4000 miles.

Finally they stated that this is normal and that the battery is never supposed to charge about 50%. So why show that on the display. Is it normal or am I just not driving enough? They should at least make up their minds about their lie. Youtube videos show others getting 75% and more.

They refuse to do anything about the problem even though the battery has a lifetime warranty.

Instead of 38 mpg, I'm getting 16 mpg. This is costing me in gas mileage.

DO NOT speak to the GIANT Group.

Recently i became self-employed and started working through teaching agencies as a full-time supply teacher.

I was enroled with several agencies and one day 'The Giant Group' rang me up asking if for £17 a week i would be interested in my wages going through them so they could sort out taxes and insurance, even claiming money back.

I said i wasn't sure so they sent me an e-mail which i didn't bother reading!! I had a numerous amount of missed calls and messages from giant asking for me to confirm everything with them which i wasn't intrested in doing so i didnt respond to the messages.

On the friday i got home and went onto my internet banking to make sure i got paid. I hadn't recieved anything from 'Balfor education' which was my agency so i decided to ring them up and see where my money was???

They told me that 'Giant' had sent a confirmation e-mail stating that i want my wages to go through them!!

I rang up 'Giant' very disappointed and they said they would look into it and ring me back shortly. They didnt so i rang them back and the phone lines were closed.

I sent them feedback on the website about my disappointment and they have till failed to get back in touch with me again. So i then rang them back, nothing has yet been sorted!!!

SAY NO TO THE 'GIANT GROUP'

I'm an IT professional and with the imminent start of a short term contract after many months of unemployment I jumped at the chance of starting but required an Umbrella Company to process my pay/income. After a rushed call with somebody from Giant the day before I started on the contract I thought all would be fine.

It took about a week to get "registered" on the company portal so I could enter expenses & other information and then I started finding problems. They wouldn't email me to the "work" email address and would insist on ringing me if I registered dissatisfaction with the company. A day before my assignment ends they message me to ask about work I intend to do after the assignment. Hidden in the T's & C's is a "tie-down" to this supposedly service to contractors which means I am supposed to stay with them for at least 4 weeks.

If I decide to submit "empty" time-sheets they supposedly send me a out-of-contract payment. As this was not mentioned during the initial phone call and I have signed no printed contracts I'm hopeful they won't attempt to force me to stay unless they want a fight. Other contractors I've been working with are similarly upset about their practices.

Unsurprisingly they appear to be part of a US Company with some rather devious business practices. Essentially you are being tied into a "zero-hours" contract and effectively making yourself unable to register as unemployed or claim benefits.

Nissan Maxima

I bought a 2007 maxima on May 31, 2007. Brand new.

I was in an accident on Sept. 6. I had the car towed to the dealership where I bought the car, thinking they are Nissan, they can fix it good as new... Estimate was for 2800.00 and 10 days to repair.

Nissan has now had my car 102 days... this part on back order, that part on back order.. the accident caused minor "body" damage and tore out the wiring harness. While they were fixing that, they messed up the thermostat sensors, the airbags, the power seat, and more.

I called Nissan to complain. They said I need to contact the dealership. I felt that Nissan is not there to back their customers. This was my first Nissan, although not my first new car.

I was not satisfied with GM cars, but I'll bet their customer care area is more customer-oriented!
